Jaden and Giorgia got out of their uber they had taken from the airport and were now stood in front of his aunt's house.
Giorgia- what if they hate me?
Jaden- they wont... theres just one condition
Giorgia- what?
Jaden- avoid politics...
Giorgia- oh no... j my opinions are very public, they probably already know... they're gonna hate me. I shouldn't have come. Fuck.
Jaden- shh angel no, of course you should have come. Just take a few deep breaths and remember, I love you regardless.
Giorgia- Fuck.
She groaned as Jaden linked his hand with hers and led them inside.
Amy- Jaden! Giorgia! You're here. I missed my babies!
Amy smiled as she pulled Giorgia into a hug and then Jaden, holding her son even longer, having missed him a ton.
Jaden- hey mom
Jaden smiled back before he saw his cousins coming to the front. His cousin Riley was looking Giorgia up and down, making the gurl a bit uncomfortable. Jaden was too busy greeting everyone to even notice.
Amy- Jaden! so caught up in saying hi that you forgot to introduce your special guest.
Amy smiled and placed her arm over Giorgia's shoulders. Her guilt still got to her over how she acted at the start of their relationship. She had gotten so caught up in what she thought was going to happen that she forgot that what was most important was her son's happiness. Amy set out to do everything she can to make it up to Jaden and especially to Giorgia.
Jaden- fuck, I'm so sorry baby. Yeah, everyone, this is my girlfriend, Giorgia.
He smiled at the girl and took her hand, guiding her to step closer to the group. Jaden kissed the back of her hand as an apology for having forgotten to introduce her.
Riley- girlfriend? So it's serious?
Jaden- yeah, very serious.
He smiled at the girl, once again missing the expression on his cousin's face. Riley nodded a bit, seeming to process the information.
Jade- you're absolutely gorgeous, I mean I've seen you online but wow... what the hell are you doing with Jaden?
His cousin Jade teased as Jaden rolled his eyes. Giorgia laughed slightly and squeezed her boyfriend's hand.
Giorgia- thank you, you're really pretty too.
She laughed off the last part, knowing it was a joke. His cousin Michael walked into the room, covered in paint as he went to wash his hands.
Michael- ayo Hossler, I want your help on something
Michael barely glanced in Jaden's direction, failing to realize there was someone else there too.
Micheal- oh, hello
He turned around and noticed Giorgia. The girl gave a shy smile and subtly squeezed Jaden's hand harder. She was beginning to get overwhelmed by her anxiety.
Feeling the extra pressure being applied to his hand, Jaden squeezed back to reassure her.
Jaden- yeah sure, i'm just gonna show Giorgia around a bit.
Jaden gently led his girlfriend out of the room and to the backyard.
Jaden- how you doing?
He smiled sweetly at the girl, pulling her close and kissing her forehead.
Giorgia- eh... im alright I guess... just a lot happening. Also, what's with your cousin Riley? He keeps looking at me weirdly?
Jaden- he does? I'm not sure... i'm sure its not intentional.
Giorgia- he like... was looking me up and down when we first walked in... I think
Jaden- he was probably confused and just taking in the presence of a person who's essentially a stranger, being in his parents house.
Giorgia- probably... it just made me a bit uncomfortable for a minute. But then again, I just get that way ever since... you know.
Jaden- yea, i know. Dont worry though. I'm here and nothing bad is going to happen. I would never let it.
He kissed her neck sweetly a couple times before just pulling her into a tight hug and guiding her head into his neck.
Jaden- nothing bad is going to happen to you, my love.
He delicately tucked her hair behind her ears and kissed her, lovingly.
Giorgia- why would a girl ever break your heart... I just can't comprehend it...
Giorgia finally verbalized her genuine confusion. She's never encountered someone as caring, sweet, and close to perfect as Jaden. Of course she's heard his music and heard a bit about his past love life, so she knows about his past heartbreaks. She's never been able to understand why someone wouldn't cherish every little thing about him.
Jaden- truthfully?
Jaden took a deep breath and guided her to sit down with him at the edge of the pool.
Jaden- I wasn't the best boyfriend, not like I was awful or anything but I definitely wasn't how I am with you...
Giorgia- why not?
Jaden- because... I mean, of course I cared for them, I still do. I still care about all of them. But I never had the urge to do the things I do for you, with them. You genuinely do bring out the best in me. Its not like I'm a piece of shit to other people, you know that, but theres not a single other person in the world that I'm like this with.
Giorgia- why me?
Jaden- I dont know g... I could go on about how beautiful you are, how talented and smart you are, and I could compliment and praise you for hours... but its not any of those reasons.
He took a deep breath as he tried to think of his wording. He turned back to her once he found it.
Jaden- we both know that there are other pretty girls in the world, theres other smart girls, their other talented girls, theres other girls that are all of those things at once... but those other girls aren't you. I can't pinpoint what it is about you that makes you different... I've been trying to figure it out from the day we met. I've come to the conclusion that theres not a specific reason, you're just... you're my person. My heart just knows it, its about love, not logic.
Giorgia- wow... i dont know what to say to that besides, i love you j.
She sweetly kissed him before he nodded and placed his forehead against hers.
Jaden- i'm in love with you, now and forever. I know that me saying that scares you, I know that you're still holding back because you're scared of how quickly it seems that we've moved... but im never going to stop reminding you that I'll love you for the rest of my life. No matter what, you're the love of my life.
Giorgia just looked down as a tear escaped and streamed down her face, falling onto the ground between them.
Jaden- I know I'm sappy a lot, I know it probably gets annoying, but I need you to understand that this weekend isnt as important as you're making it out to be. I mean of course it matters and its a big deal that you're meeting my extended family... but even if they all hated you- which they will not- I would love you anyways. No matter how this weekend goes, it's still you and me forever.
Giorgia- you're so cute
She held his face with both of her hands as she pressed a kiss to his lips again.
Giorgia- forever j... yes its scary, but its not as scary as the thought of this ending someday...
She gestured between the two of them as Jaden nodded in agreement.
Giorgia- i just worry about how fast it is because... where do we go from here?
Jaden- what do you mean?
Giorgia- everything is all sweet and lovey dovey and constant praise... what comes next? It's not like things could get more intense or serious as it already is. I'm scared that we're moving so fast that we'll burn out.
Jaden- burn out?
Giorgia- yeah... like if you hold a match sideways it burns quicker and you get to the end sooner. I'm scared of that happening with us.
Jaden- first off, in order to burn out there'd have to be an end to it. Going along with your match metaphor... if that match was infinitely long then it doesn't matter how you hold it, it'll never burn out. Second...
He grabs both of her hands and looks at her like she's his everything, because she is.
Jaden- as much as I dont want to... if you ever need space or a break... or just to slow down... just tell me and we will. I dont want to be an extra stressor in your life, if thats what it comes to then tell me and we'll slow down or take a pause or something. Whatever you need, I'm here, always.
He cradled her to his chest as she started to cry. Both teens knew that Giorgia was not in a good place, mentally.
Giorgia- I dont know what I need...
Jaden- thats okay, just let me know when you do. Okay?
Giorgia nodded and mumbled "okay" into the rockstar's chest. He held her there for a while longer as she cried. The way Riley had been looking at her scared her, it reminded her of Sebastian, mentally she ended up reliving the two interactions where Sebastian had harassed/assaulted her. First in Bryce's room and then Jaden's billboard party.
Meanwhile, Jaden had tears in his eyes too. Partially from hurting that she was hurting, but also from fear that she would decided she needed a break. Of course he'd give it to her but he wasn't sure how he'd cope without her.
??- WHERE IS SHE?!
A familiar voice rang through the house as one of the Hossler sisters came bounding through to find Giorgia.
Sophie- GIA!
She hugged her brother's girlfriend who let out a soft laugh at the sudden hug. Sophie did adore Giorgia for making her little brother so happy but more than anything she wanted to make sure she's comfortable with the family. She always over exaggerates her excitement to make up for her other sister who still hasn't even met the girl.
Giorgia- hi Soph
Jaden- yea, hi soph
Jaden crossed his arms with a slight pout as he fished for his sister's attention.
Sophie- hey Gia's boyfriend!
