"So what you're saying is, you'd wait until I was out of the house to burn it down and get some insurance money right?" I laughed.

"Boy, I'm not finna burn your house down for some insurance money. You know how much I could get for just you alone?? We'd be set straight for life, ain't that right Lo?" She said looking down at Milo who just smiled nodding his head.

"You gotta stop doing that." I told him and he shook his head the opposite way this time making us both laugh.

He was always just agreeing with what we said thinking it would get him something.

"Milo Ashley?" A nurse called out so we got up going through the door to the back.

"Definitely gotta change his last name," I mumbled loud enough for Tristen to hear and she cut her eyes at me.

Before we were seated in a room, the nurse took down Milo's updated height weight and circumference.

We were at the pediatrician today. Nothing bad, Milo just needed to get his 18 month check up which included some shots.

There were a few knocks on the door and we seen the doctor walk in.

"So, how are you Tristen long time no see but that's a good thing right?" she said laughing.

"Yeah, we're good though." Tristen said. She was the one sitting down holding Milo.

"And the father, how is everything?" She said towards me, "I gotta say, all my daughter does is talk about you two."

"We ain't nobody special, make sure you tell her that." I said.

"I do. Every day." She rolled her eyes, "She just cops a attitude that I don't have time for."

"Y'all be grateful this one," she poked at Milo making him laugh, "Doesn't have a attitude problem yet."

"Oh, he definitely got a attitude problem," I said.

"But he got it from you." Tristen said.

I sucked my teeth, ignoring her commented and the doctor laughed.

"Well we got his weight and everything documented and he's pretty on track for his age so there is no physical development impairments that we've noticed." She said which was good.

"Have you all had any concerns with his growth or development?" She asked and am we both shook our heads.

"He's got two teeth coming in, now.. I think that makes 11 in total." Tristen said.
