I took to the center and listened to the murmurs around me. Apparently, they had not anticipated I would be the last to fight. "I'll take her!"

I felt a shift beside me and concern inside. "You can't see or move your hands."  I shrugged and continued to wait. Finally, they let someone take the field and I withheld my smirk. Foolish...

"I've been waiting to get you since you stepped foot in our school."

I didn't respond or move as she began to move forward. I could hear her heart racing and her shallow breaths. Too eager... When she ran forward, I side stepped her and heard her huff in surprise. She tried to hit me from behind and I danced around her fists until her side was left open.

I lashed out and heard her grunt on impact and stumble back. I pursed my lips. Still not a fair fight. She started again and I dipped and dodged until I swept her feet, then spun to my feet. She hit the ground hard and I listened as she scrambled to her feet. "You little..."

She went ballistic as she struck out. "You aren't good enough for him! He deserves so much better!"

I rolled my eyes and rolled behind her as we got to the edge, ramming her with my shoulder to get her out of bounds. I heard a sickening pop as she started to scream. My mother and Raven rushed over and I knelt in place.

My pack followed and we waited until I heard another pop. "Just dislocated, let's get you some ice and rest." I smiled at my mom and nodded.

As she was carried away we stood and I returned to the middle of the grounds. "Why did you kneel?"

I turned to Mr. Valencia as Toni spoke. "For a fallen comrade..."

I felt him shift uncomfortably. "She's on the opposing side."

I tilted my head and Xavier spoke next. "We're not enemies and she was hurt, so we kneel and wait until she is seen to."

"I see." I nodded and turned on my heel.

"She'll take on three, choose wisely."

"That's impo-" I turned again and smiled at Ezekiel as he began to worry more. "You don't seem bothered that they are leading you to slaughter."

I chuckled and tilted my head, turning back around. "We'll do it."

I heard their footsteps as they stood in front of me. "Yeah, she does look nice all tied up."

"May be of good use later."

Ezekiel's anger flared and I shook my head. "Glad my jaw healed up in time for this."

I took a breath and relaxed, getting a feel for them and the field. I already knew the real threat would be Donovan, so getting rid of the other two was my first goal. They began to fan out and I stood motionless between them.

I jumped up as the one behind ran forward and kicked his back so he ran into another. I listened to their grunts and figured those were the first two. I spun out of Donovan's grasp as he went to tackle me, dancing closer to the edge before I made my move. I let one grab me then curled my leg around him, using the momentum to throw him out.

I landed in a kneeling position and waited as the other two rethought how to handle me. They started to move and I tilted my head. They weren't blindly attacking now. I listened to their steps, Donovan's heavier than the other guys.  It felt something like a pincer, then I understood as the one I threw out started to move as well.

So, they play dirty, cool... I listened for the one behind and the one to my left began to run at me. Just when they got close enough I leaped forward and rolled as they collided with each other, hard enough that they were down. I landed and dropped to my stomach as Donovan tried to grab me, then swung my legs up to spin my foot into his jaw.

Thankfully it didn't break this time, but he went flying barely staying in. Then I heard a deep growl and the shifting of bones. I turned to my pack as they started to move and shook my head. They shifted uncomfortably, but didn't budge. I faced my opponent and moved with him as he began to circle.

Terror that wasn't mine ran through me, but I ignored it, focusing on the beast in front of me. I ran towards him when he came at me and slid under, planting my feet on his stomach and flipping him. I jumped up as he landed and planted my knee in his belly, making him yelp before going still.

I stood and stepped back a few paces before kneeling. The air was tense as Raven and Mom checked him out. I felt him shift back to human form, moaning in pain as he was helped to his feet. I sighed in relief because he stopped breathing for a bit.

The air was tense as Ezekiel stood before I smirked and dropped my head, nodding. I could feel his apprehension. He won't fight me for real... yet. "You two get 10 minutes... can't have you flirting all day."

I pursed my lips at Toni's words as he chuckled. "Begin."

He wasted no time starting to attack as soon as we began I evaded him and attempted to get him to lose his footing, but to no avail. Soon his started to lose his reservations and landed a few blows, but I countered getting his sides and legs.

We both stepped back and recalculated. He hadn't used his full speed and I had no clue about his strength just yet. We circled each other and began again this time his speed was a factor. I struggled to keep up, but managed to get behind him and kick his knees in. When I aimed for his head he vanished and I dropped to the ground to avoid his fists and rammed him with my shoulder to push him back.

Now, he was serious and managed to send me flying as he kicked me. Okay... I slipped my knife from my waist band and cut my ropes mid air, removing my blindfold as I landed on my feet. 5 minutes...

"Hold..." I froze and removed my knives. "Can't have you cutting up that pretty face now can we?"

I narrowed my eyes at my brother as he came to take them. "Go to hell."

He chuckled. "Anywhere you go I follow."

I rolled my eyes and faced my opponent once more. He smirked. "Had to lose the handicaps."

"I'm competitive... not stupid."

We started again attacking and defending at blinding speed, neither able to get the other pinned or knocked out. "Time!"

I pouted as my leg froze from connecting with his face. We would have had him dammit... I slowly lowered it and glared at Toni. "You had 10 minutes... it's a draw."

First thing I didn't like is that she was tied up and blindfolded.  The looks it earned were almost enough for me to call it.  Then, Brenda took her shot, I know she thought she had an advantage, but she quickly learned that was not the case.

They knelt when Violet did as Brenda screamed in pain.  They stayed there motionless until she was taken away.  Her mom even helped to take care of her, it was strange.  My dad asked about it and concept made sense, it was a show of respect for the fallen is what he muttered under his breath.

I started to think they were really fucking with us when her uncle said she'd fight three at once, but they were serious.  They had as much concern for her safety as she did.  All fears were laid to rest until Donovan shifted.  Her pack was about to intervene as well as my dad, but she silently refused.

She was even smiling when she faced him.  My heart leapt to my throat when he went after her, but she took care of it no problem before kneeling again.  She was actually a little concerned until he shifted back.  She may have come close to killing him...

Finally, it was my turn and damn if she didn't push me to my limit.  Her brother stopped us once she freed herself gracefully and she would have had me if her uncle didn't call time.  I was becoming more and more impressed with how just a single word or sound could make her or her pack literally freeze in place.

If she followed through with her kick, no one could have blamed her, but she was in completely control of her body.  She glared at uncle who simply shrugged it off.  I didn't have to go over the tally to know who one, I just needed to figure out a way to manipulate it in my favor because technically my pack lost, I didn't.
