Hey, Cupid:

Why is it that love tends to take away one's rationality? Is it really inevitable to do think about the happiness of the one you love even before your own?

Third Person's POV

"Kaso that's a Saturday night, right?" Yuri asked her.

"Technically, we could go to the festival at maybe, 4 PM para makagala pa since I heard there would be many booths but yes, the concert starts at 7 PM." Hyewon explained.

"You see, it has always been a constant for me to free my Saturday night so that I could have a movie marathon with Chae. I really, really wanted to attend the festival because I might be busy again since classes will soon start the following week. But what should I do? I can't just ditch Chae. Baka magtampo 'yon sa 'kin. Matampuhin pa naman 'yon." The girl said, her mood changed from being excited to being gloomy.

If you would ask Hyewon, of course it would be better if it's just the two of them who would go to the festival. This, after all, is her own special way of thanking Yuri for helping her realize her worth after being dumped by her ex.

But Yuri's expression is really sad right now that she just instinctively blurted out,

"It's fine, she could just tag along with us." 'If that is what will make you happier then fuck me and my selfish thoughts right now. I would rather be disappointed if that would mean you being happier.' Hyewon thought.

"Really? It's fine with you?"

'It's not but what can I do, your happiness is my priority.'

"Thank you! Not that I don't enjoy being with you alone because I really do, but I believe na mas maganda nga na marami tayo. The more, the merrier! Isa pa, I wanted you guys to get along with each other para we could hang out together sometimes."

Hyewon just tried her best to hide her disappointment and give Yuri a genuine smile. "You should head inside. Good bye Yuri, see you again next time." She waved her hand.

"See you again next time, Hyewon! Take care on your way. Salamat ulit sa pag-invite! You should go now, I wanted to watch you leave. Don't worry, I'll quickly go upstairs once you're out of my sight." She said that and gestured her hands, as if she's telling Hyewon to start walking.

The girl obliged after giving a final smile.

For the remaining days of the month before the scheduled festival, Yuri would just spend her days normally, exploring new hobbies at home and of course, attending the volunteer work every Sunday.

Yuri, aside from just volunteering in the medical mission, would want to make the remaining month more productive by engaging herself to some challenging activities but Chaewon had advised her not to do so.

"Yuri, we would be college students already in two months. I am fully aware that even if I would try to stop you, you would still participate on countless activities in and out of the university. That's why, I'm asking you to give yourself a break. Just these two months. Try to relax for a bit, read your favorite books, go see movies with me, have a new hobby or whatsoever."

Chaewon's voice was so sincere and full of concern that Yuri just nodded her head without objections.

"Do you promise me that?" Chaewon's voice softened as she said that and then she held out her pinky finger.

"I promise."

About the medical mission event, medyo napilit n'ya lang si Chaewon kasi once every week lang naman 'yon and it's for a good cause naman. Mind you, she even prepared a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation just so Chaewon would allow her to break her promise.
