Chapter 57: I Know, Shocker

There is absolutely no way Cyril is here. He was a fanatic, a powerful Henchman who was obsessed with Amos.

Heath and I made sure he was in the list of people being sent to Hell years ago. Cyril had a kid too, probably turned out to be a Henchman too, what was his name? If I could find him, maybe I could find out what happened to his father.

We're almost leaving Heaven and we hear Myra's voice.

"Talk of the town is Juliet Hastings, Parker Hastings and Axel Reed walked straight past the main doors of Heaven," she's walking towards us and while her words may convey warning, her tone did not.

"Can't do anything without being legendary, can you?" Alden walks out from behind her, laughing as he walks to us.

"Happy birthday, oh how quickly you babies grow," Myra hugs J and messes Parker's hair up.

"Happy birthday sweetheart," Den hugs J.

Everyone engages in conversation and I pull Alden aside.

"Hey, man, listen, I need a favour," I plead.

His eyebrows rise in surprise, his lean outline standing relaxed. "Yeah, what's up?"

"I need you to find out about this Henchman that used to work for Amos, his name is Cyril."

"Cyril? You and Heath pleaded for him to be banished to Hell so long ago, though."

"I know, but somehow I know he's behind of all of this. When's Amos being  transferred?"

Something in my heart settles but I try to push any thought I've ever had of him being a good father. Which, to be fair, isn't that difficult because he was never a good father.

But Dabria was right. There was a time I looked upto him and now I don't even wanna see his face. I never knew what a monster he was.

All he knows is how to ruin things. He doesn't know kindness and forgiveness. I won't be like him. If I have to actively work against being like him then I'll do it.

How do I do that?

"You okay?" Alden asks, shaking me out of my thoughts and I nod.

"I said I don't know when he's being transferred but Scar," he looks around before coming closer. "I overheard some Henchmen talking, someone is  planning something big. I'll try to find out but the gateways to Earth keep shutting down and we can't figure it out."

"I thought you guys were shutting them down," I say, confused.

"Hey, guys, ready to go?" Axel asks and Alden nods, his demeanor changing.

"Yeah, have a safe trip back. Park and J, happy birthday once again, have fun," with that he runs towards the Citadel.
