Saved By Business Man Satan

Start from the beginning

I can barely mooooooooooooooooove.

Ted lay Emma across one of the rows of seats further back, and sat down on your other side.

Paul eventually backed down, and flipped you off from outside the car, before stomping away grumpily. The chauffeur got back in the car, and gave you an appraising look.

"Do you know that man?"

He asked. His voice had an odd accent you couldn't place.

"Um, not really. He did that to my friend-"

You said, pointing at Emma.

"And was going to do a lot worse if he caught us."

You finished, a little theatrically, for effect.

"Convenient we were in the area then."

He said, shooting Felix a look that said 'we will be discussing why you forced me to drive out here to save an odd girl from a rotund man later. Likely involving your parents' participation'.

Ted sighed, but Felix ignored him. His eyes were fixed on you.

Your vision dimmed, and you fell asleep.

You woke up when Ted was shaking you lightly, and Felix was arguing with the chauffeur about whether or not they could take you back to Huxley Manor.

"(Y/N)... We're at your house."

Ted said softly.

"How d'you know where I live?"

You mumbled, still half asleep.

"Because I told them. You yelled to Kid before he left."

All sleep still in you drained away immediately.

"Emma!"

You cried.

"Yup!"

She said happily. She had been given crutches, and looked a lot healthier. You weren't sure what they'd done, but something about her radiated 'I am now a great deal healthier then I was when I passed out'.

"BUT WHY NOT?"

Felix shouted, before realizing you were awake.

He smoothed his collared shirt.

"(Y/N), please tell Charles that your mother would approve of you returning to Huxley Manor."

Noooooooooooooooooooo. I do not want to go back there.

But, he did save me and Emma.

In a creepy, stalker-ish way.

"I'm not sure. She hasn't seen me all day-"

You began hesitantly.

"Nonsense! You must have a concussion. Charles, she has a concussion, she must come back to Huxley Manor! HER LIFE MAY DEPEND ON IT."

Felix said theatrically.

Ted sighed, and walked you and Emma to the house.

"Your brother is kind of a jerk."

You pointed out observantly.

Ted smiled at you slightly.

"I suppose. But... He's my brother. And I love him."

Ted replied.

"Because you're a good person. You have a good heart. Just..... Don't do anything you feel uncomfortable with, okay? He isn't the boss."

Ted thought this over for a second. Emma looked very confused. You'd kinda forgotten she was there.

Ted mumbled something about his parents.

"Huh?"

Ted blushed.

"I shouldn't have said anything-"

He said embarrassedly.

"No, it's okay. You can tell me."

He looked at you.

"I guess.... My parents like Felix more.... He kind of is the boss... Of me, at least.... I don't think they like me very much.... But Felix d-does..... ᴵ ᵗʰᶦⁿᵏ...."

He said.

This poor kid.

Maybe once we save the school, we can save him from his family.

"But I'm fine!"

Ted said, in a high pitched voice.

"Have a nice day!"

And then he ran back to the limousine.

You sighed.

Emma gave you a weird look, as if you peeled away your face, to reveal a monkey beneath it.

"Wow! That was DRAMATIC. Is school like that for you?"

"Unfortunately, yes."

You grumbled.

Flashback Over

You explained what had happened to you and Emma to Kid, while skimming over the part about  you falling asleep on Felix's shoulder, and what Ted had told you, because that seemed kinda private.

Kid listened to this story several times over, before declaring something you agreed with very much.

"SOMEONE WILL DIE FOR THIS."

Emma laughed.

"Dude, chill. I have a broken arm, and crutches, and I'm coping better then you."

Kid glared at her.

"Younger siblings. Am I right?"

He sighed to you.

"Never had one. Only had an older brother."

Your stomach twisted.

Don't ask, don't ask, don't ask-

"Where is he now?"

Emma asked innocently.

"Dead. Dead, a week or so ago."

You said, refusing to meet anyone's eyes.

Kid hugged you, and Emma gave you an awkward half hug, because of her arm and crutches.

"I'm sorry..."

She said softly.

"Not your fault. Not your fault. It's okay."

You mumbled, and for the first time, it kind of was.

"Hello, everyone!"

Your mother chirped from the doorway.

"Does anyone mind sleeping on an inflatable mattress?"

Everyone murmured 'no', and the sleepover preparation began.
