182. One Last Promotion

"Amazing." Calphian said as she watched the city shift through her mind's eye.

Calphian was standing over Cal's shoulder and when he coughed, she looked down and gasped when she saw the amount of blood that was pouring out of him like a fountain. His mouth, his nose, his ears, and his eyes just had lines of blood coming from them. When he coughed again the blood sprayed from outward even though he tried to cover his mouth. The droplets landed in a pool of crimson life that spread all over the floor in an impossible amount for one person. The crimson liquid waterfalled over the steps and created an ocean that stained the ground with more than just red.

"My Lord." Calphian covered her mouth and felt like weeping.

"This is so cool." Cal smiled as he continued to play with the settings in front of him. He marveled not only at his own power, but at the amount of limiters that had been removed from this world over the game. The possibilities were endless. He could barely imagine what he could do with the amount of power and control.

Calphian stepped back mentally and couldn't help but admire her master. Her fear took second place as she looked at his smile and his shining eyes. The thrill of creation resonated in him and any finality was gone. This was not the vestige of a dead man taking his last stand. This was the wild childlike excitement of someone who was just getting started.

Several notifications appeared in Cal's vision and he almost cursed until he read what it said.
