Sorry to interrupt your read but I believe this is something important I may have failed to mention.
Yes, you heard that word, 'Mummy' and no I'm not talking about mothers because that would be weird.
I'm talking about the monsters you hear about during Halloween, the all wrapped in linen zombie creatures that come out of the sarcophagus and scare the living hell out of people.
Yup, just like the movies....well not completely like the ones in films. Mummies aren't actually like that, yes we aren't living, well we are but more like immortal in a way.
Our natural bodies died long ago but the magic that has been in our city for eons is what keeps us alive for so long.
Our bodies are fully capable of doing everything a living person can do and more. Though it doesn't mean we can't be killed again, so it's more like a last 'do-over button' reset in our lives.
Anyway, back to the main story...
