"You said that two days ago," Matt chuckled, "and they sent us home."

"And we only went because you insisted," Catherine smirked. "I told you that it wasn't time."

"You were crying," Matt recalled. "It was concerning, okay?"

Catherine chuckled softly and wrapped her arms around him. "I love you. Thank you for being so caring."

"You're looking a bit pale," Matt said in concern.

"Hon, don't freak out," Catherine said slowly.

"Why?!" Matt said, freaking out.

"I should have seen that coming," Cath smiled weakly.

"What going on?" Lotte asked ask she came into the kitchen.

"Matt," Catherine sighed, "my water just broke."

"What?!"

"The baby is coming. Like now. We need to go to the hospital."

"Don't say that!" Logan shrieked, covering his ears. "Gross, gross, scary, gross. Don't say that!"

"Hey, I didn't create the process," Catherine shrugged.

"We're sure he's not Josh's kid?" Matt whispered. "Come on, let's get you to the car."

"Where's the hospital bag?" Catherine winced.

Lotte quickly ran to the bedroom and dragged out the heavy duffel bag. "It right here! I got it!"

"Thank you, Sweetie," Matt chuckled, kissing his daughter's forehead before wrapping an arm around his wife. "Let's go."

Catherine nodded weakly before she quickly texted Carlos, who ran right over.

Matt helped his wife into the car and drove off quickly.

"Oh, god," Catherine moaned. "It hurts so bad."

"We've gotten through this before. We will again," Matt stammered. "Just keep calm."

Cath grabbed his hand tightly. "There's a lot of pressure. Make it stop. Please."

Matt kissed her forehead tenderly. "It'll all be over soon. I promise."

"She's really low. I can feel it," Catherine whispered. "I'm scared."

"Shh. Just relax."

"I'm trying," Catherine sighed. "How much longer until we get to the hospital?"

"About three minutes," Matt said as he gently stroked her arm.

Cath nodded slowly and took deep breaths.

"I'm just going to call Josh real quick, alright?"

"Mhm."

Matt dialed Josh's number and gave a nervous sigh.

—————

Josh's phone began to ring. "Heyo. Taylor here," he answered.

"Josh, it's Matt. Listen, Cath went into labor and Carlos has the kids. He'll still be bringing them by, but we thought that you should know."

"Alright. Gosh, you excited? I'm excited!" Josh grinned.

"I'm terrified," Matt laughed nervously.

"Take it easy, buddy. We're with you ever step of the way. Amy says hi."

"Tell her hi from Uncle Matt and Aunt Cath," Matt nodded. "We're at the hospital now. Gotta run. Cath's freaking out. Bye."

"Bye!"

Matt ended the call, and pulled into a parking space. Quickly, he hopped out of the car and swung around to the other side, grabbing the bag before helping Catherine out of the car. "You doing alright, Honey?"

"No," Catherine winced.

"Don't worry. It'll be okay," Matt said softly, kissing her cheek. "I love you so much, Honey."

"I love you too," Catherine smiled weakly.

—————

"Oh, you got here just in time," Jack nodded. "She's ten centimeters."

Catherine grabbed Matt's hand tightly.

"Already?!" Matt said in shock.

"Already," Jack chuckled.

"I don't like this part," Matt whimpered.

"Neither do I," Catherine sighed.

"I think we're good to go," Jack nodded.

Catherine felt heavy pressure build up and gave a hard push.

"Good, good," Jack smiled. "Keep going."

"You can do it, Hon," Matt encouraged.

Catherine moaned and pushed again.

"Just one more. Come on, Cath," Jack said softly.

"Almost there, Babe," Matt nodded.

Cath gave a final hard push and Jack gently rested her daughter on her chest. "She's beautiful," she smiled through tears.

"Yeah," Matt said through a broken little sob. "She's perfect."

A nurse gently took the baby and finished cleaning her up.

Matt gently kissed Catherine's forehead. "I love you so much."

"I love you too," Catherine said breathlessly.
