Introduction
It has been over five hundred years since Lady Caren was sentenced. The time of dragons and magical creatures has passed and they are no more than myths or legends. The world has been separated into six Realms of men. Although man has accepted magic and the craft back into their hearts, it is only used in battle, any other use of it is the highest sin and execution is the price by order of the King and Queen of that realm. Battles are fought with knights and mages working side by side. The highest ranking knights are partnered with a mage of their choosing in a ceremony called the "Magus Pledge". A knight must choose a mage from their realm to complete the pledge, they will be bonded for life and battle together protecting each other and their King and Queen.
As darkness rises in the realms, the king of Ashura, Seriphus, gathers an army to conquer the realms and bond with the strongest of mages, to become the most powerful king of all...So the world thinks, but things aren't always as they seem.
We set our eyes on the realm of Lesterose once again. The castle is under the rule of queen Evelyn Virmire and her son Roan Virmire.
