Taron Mills
I looked over the blanket, drinks and food I had put out.
I questioned multiple time's whether it was too much.
I hadn't said it was a date.
I wasn't sure if it was a date myself.
Did she want it to be a date?

"What is this?" I heard and snapped my head up.
"Oh! Hi" I said and wiped my hands down my trousers.
"What is this?" Maggie asked, her eyes scanning over the blanket.
"Too much?"
"Is it a date?" She asked putting her bag down.
"I don't know" I said and she nodded sitting down next to me.

"This is nice" Maggie said as she drank from a can.
"I bet you've had nicer dates" I said and she coughed.
I rubbed her back gently and frowned and she looked at me.
"You think I've had a date before?" She said and I couldn't help but widen my eye's.
"You've never been on a date?" I asked and she shrugged.
"I told you. No one ever wants to get to know me. I've never actually really spoken to boys my own age before. Or girls" Maggie said and I nodded.
"Well. I want to get to know you. What's your favourite colour?" I asked and she laughed.
"That's your big question to get to know me?" She asked and I nodded.
"You have to start somewhere"

The more we talked the more I realised that I liked her.
I really liked her.
And I was taking this as a date.
She was beautiful, and funny and kind.
She was so different than I ever expected she would be.

"So, you know you're basically a spy?"
I asked her.
"I'm not a spy" she said and my heart swelled hearing her laugh.
"Can you show me what you do?" I asked, hopeful that she would teach me something cool.
"Erm, like what?"
"Teach me how to fight"
"No" she said quickly but I scooted closer to her.
"Please?" I said and I studied her face.
Her eyes fluttered between mine and her mouth was slightly open.
"No"
"I need to know how to defend myself. Come on, I'll do whatever you want me to" I said and she smiled.
"I don't want to ruin you"she giggled and I rolled my eyes.
"You won't. Come on I really want to learn from you" I said.
"Look. My specialty is weaponry. I'm good at hand to hand , but not as good as I am with weapons. If you want to learn how to fight hand to hand then ask my brother" she sighed and I shook my head.
"Teach me how to use weapons and as much hand to hand as you can" I shrugged.
"Are you sure? You're basically giving me permission to beat you up" she giggled and again my heart fluttered.
"That's fine. At least it's you and not some huge guy wanting to kill me" I said and she nodded.
"Get up" she demanded standing up.

I quickly stood up and she shrugged her jacket off.
"Take your blazer off"she ordered and I did so.
"Why?"
"Lesson one. Never ever never get distracted by anything" she said and I nodded. "So if I'm coming at you like this" she said and came up closer to me. She wrapped her hands around my wrists and my palms got sweaty.
"Ok"
"And someone else is over there" she said and I looked to where she pointed.
Quickly she had kicked my legs out from underneath me and I fell onto my side.
"See, now that gives me an opportunity to shoot you" she said.
"Please don't"
She just smiled and held out her hand.
She pulled me up, holding tightly to my hand. She walked backwards forcefully until my back had hit the tree.

Margaret King
The night had been extremely interesting.
I was excited that he wanted to learn how to fight.
It was nice getting to know him as well.
He was sweet and kind and caring, and I knew that I liked him. For definite.
And now I had him pressed against a tree.

"What now?" He whispered.
"I hadn't thought of a next part yet" I whispered back. "I've always just waited till someone else made a move"
His eyes narrowed slightly and quickly, but not too quickly he had moved so that it was my own back pressed against the tree trunk.
"Ok. You were too slow" I said and he nodded. "And you're not holding me right. Just by holding my upper arms I've still got my hands and legs" I explained and he nodded again.

I moved him so he was back against the tree.
I took his hands and held them above his head.
"Arms are gone" I said and I noticed that I could see his heart beat.
"What about my legs?" He asked and I shrugged.
"Most people aren't quick enough. I have a knife in their leg before they can kick" I smirked.
Unexpectedly he brought his foot up and kicked my stomach. Not hard, but hard enough to push me away and make me trip and fall on my back.
"Oh my god. I didn't think. I'm sorry are you ok ?" He said and he leaned over me. He put one arm over me so I was trapped.
"That was good. Not hard enough but good" I breathed and let out a cough.
"I've winded you haven't I. Oh god. I'm so sorry" he panicked.

I searched his eyes and was drawn in.
I flickered my eyes down to his lips and breathed heavily.
I wanted to.
I really wanted to just pull his head to mine and kiss him.
It would be my first.
My heart pounded and my head span as I just watched his lips.

"Are you sure you're ok?" He asked and I nodded quickly.
"Taron can I ask you something?" I whispered and leaned up on my elbows.
"Sure"
"Have you ever kissed anyone?" I asked and he just looked into my eyes before nodding slowly.
"A few people yes"
"Is it nice?" I asked.
"You've not kissed anyone?" He said and I suddenly felt embarrassed.
"No" I said and cleared my throat.

Nervously I reached my hand up and held his jaw.
"Maggie," he whispered and I took my hand away.
"Oh. Fuck. Right yeah" I said and sat up more so he had to move his arm.
"Wait wait"
I picked up my jacket and smiled.
"Thank you for this Taron. I-I had fun" I said and tired to swallow the tears that were threatening to build up.
"Why are you leaving?" He asked and grabbed my hand.
"I just thought, well I don't actually know. I guess I just made it weird?" I said and he ran his hands through his hair.

"I want to kiss you. I do."
"Then why tell me not to"
"I never told you that. You told yourself that after I said your name" he said and I couldn't argue.
"Well the moments over now anyways" I said and he shrugged.
"It doesn't have to be"
"Do you really want to kiss me Taron? We're complete opposites. Imagine me meeting your parents as your girlfriend and you meeting mine as my boyfriend. There would be carnage" I sighed.
"Would you really care?" He asked and I shrugged.
"Not really"
"Good"
"Well. I should get back to my room" I said and Taron nodded as he packed away all of what he had brought.
"Night Maggie."
"Night Taron. Thanks again" I sighed before walking back to my room.

I had been trying to sleep for an hour.
Nothing I tried made me tired.
I was too busy thinking about Taron and how badly I wanted him to kiss me.
Just thinking about how much tension there was inside me for him made my head spin.
A gentle knock sounded on my door and I glanced over at my clock.
It was two in the morning.
Who could possibly want me at two in the morning.
I looked down at my sports bra and shorts and decided that whoever wanted me would just have to deal with it.

"Er hi?" I said to Taron.
He was stood in only a pair of gym shorts and a thin white T-shirt.
"I can't stop thinking about you" he said still stood outside.
I looked down the corridor before pulling him inside my room.
"Me either" I breathed running my hands through my hair.
"It's two in the morning and I want nothing more than to just kiss you"

"It's two in the morning and I want nothing more than to just kiss you"
