"It's starting now!!" Tom screams to you as he increases the volume of the television. "The popcorn is almost done." You say grabbing the bowl and making your way to the sofa to join Tom. You had convinced him to watch the football match of USA and England. "I'm pretty sure my country will win." You say. "Pfft. No way." He says.
Throughout the entire football match you were cheering on for them to win. Tom, who wasn't taking much interest in the game was smiling to himself as he watches you all hyper and happy. Once in a while he would let out words of disappointment when England would get close to scoring a goal but failing.
"See, my country is winning!" You say. "I can see that, love." He says nodding his head. "Are you even paying attention to the telly?" You ask feeling his eyes on you. "Hmm? Yes, of course. I'm watching it." He says adjusting himself on the sofa.
"Yes!!! Your country lost!!" You say at the end of the game. "Your country can be better at that but there are other things that my country is awesome for." Tom says. "Like what?" You ask staring at him. He freezes as he smiles nervously trying to think. "Um, tea." He says with a little shrug. "It's all about the tea." You say. "You're all about coffee." Tom mumbles. "We should watch the final match." You suggest. "Do we have to? I'm sure they are going to win anyways." Tom says.
"You weren't really watching the game. Were you?" You ask raising an eyebrow at him. "Yes I was." He says. "What was the score?" You asks folding your arms and waiting for him to answer. "Um, 0 and um, 1?" He asks like a question. "You didn't really watch it. It was 1 and 2." You say.
"I was watching it first but then I was looking at you. I never saw you so hyper and excited. You were so happy and that made me really happy to see you like that." He says. You sit blushing. "Babe?" He says moving forward as you haven't said a word. He takes his chance and moves towards you to pull you over him.
