Fake Smiles, Easy Lies
She walks in the rain so that nobody knows
That she's in pain, her tears don't show
Her feet splashing in pools of sorrow
Sadness crushing the smile she borrowed
They don't see the lie that she hides behind
Can't they see the pain in her smile?
Every step she takes, just another mistake
Can't you see that it's too late?
She spends her days spinning webs of lies
She's learned to say, "don't worry, I'm fine"
Now she's running through wind and rain
Trying to escape from her endless pain
Running into the sunset, she sobs into the sky
Going as far as she can get, wishing she could fly
