"Michael, come on.." I hoarsely said, trying to grab Mike.

"You've gotta finish your vegetables." I groaned, rubbing my throat.

Sore throats and fevers always do the trick, don't they?

"Just one last broccoli, baby." I said, turning Mike towards me as I gently moved the broccoli towards him.

Mike pouted, "NO!" He shouted.

I cringed as his voice echoed through the empty home.

I wish he knew how loud he was. God damn..

"Baby, do this for mommy." I cooed.

"NO! NO! STOP! NO!" He protested, crossing his arms.

I sighed, moving the broccoli around, "Here comes the plane!" I cooed.

"Zoom, Zoom!" I exclaimed.

Mike stared at the broccoli, moving his head around as he watched the broccoli move left to right.

Mike stared at me as he opened his mouth.

I smiled, gently feeding the broccoli to Mike.

I don't always have to feed him but I want my boy to grow up big and strong.

Not necessarily like his daddy.

I heard the front door open as Kevin dragged his feet in the room.

I smiled, letting go of Mike as he ran off.

I got up from the floor, walking towards Kevin. "How was work, babe?" I asked as Kevin pulled me by my waist.

Kevin shrugged, "It was work, baby." He sighed loudly.

I frowned, "It'll get better." I said, biting my lip.

Kevin smirked, "With you it will." He said, trying to kiss my lips.

I moved back, "I don't want to get you sick, baby. In fact, I need you to watch Mike. I have to go to the doctors." I said.

Kevin sighed, letting go of me. "Is it that damn important that you have to go to the doctors?" He groaned.

"Kevin, yes.." I sighed. "I have a fever and a sore throa-"

"Then let it heal by itself, Mia. God damn.." He mumbled.

I sighed, "The doctor told me to come in after a year, I'm going in." I sternly said.

Kevin frowned, "Fine, fine.." He mumbled.

I smirked, "Your dinner is on the stove. Mike already ate." I said, putting my coat on.

"See you later, baby!" I softly said.

"Yeah, yeah.." Kevin mumbled, watching Mike giggle and play.

I sighed, walking out of the apartment door.

Can't you be more playful with your own son?

"Let's see, Ms. Gordy.." Doctor Robert said as he looked at his clipboard.

"How have you been feeling the past few weeks?" He asked.

I sighed, "I've had a fever of one-hundred two and a sore throat.. My fever has lasted for a long time actually.." I said, rubbing my throat.

"Mhm... What else?" Doctor Robert asked.

"Um.." I thought.

"I've noticed my eyelids being purple and I've been very tired lately." I said.
