Harry's pov
"Why are we going to the park?" Alexis asked her knees to her chest with her feet up on the dashboard playing a game on her phone
"I've gotta job" I answered stopping at a red light
She cocked an eyebrow but didn't look away from her game "do tell"
I shrugged "guy is debating on hurting his family for another woman"
"Debating on hurting them how?" Now she did turn to look at me
I started driving again as the light turned green "it's not too clear yet but I'm gunna stop him"
"Oh good" she looked back at her game "I wanna swing"
I pulled up and parked she got out and tagged along behind me there were more than a hand full of families I looked around trying to figure out who it was "found him" Alexis chirped from beside me I looked down at her still playing her game
"Who?"
She pointed to her left "red shirt guy the wife in the yellow dress with the son and daughter" the she fact she probably only had to take a split seconds glance to get that was exactly the reason why I brought her with me
I walked closer talking the table next to him as he was grilling he looked nervous he kept glancing back at his wife and kids who were all playing tag in the field
I might as well approach him now I stepped closer "Hey" he looked at me stabbing his fork through a piece of chicken
"What?" He asked in a very shocked but subtlety angry tone
"I only wanna talk" I kept a smooth polite voice
"I don't know you why would I talk with you?" He pushed the chicken off his large fork back onto the grill top
Shit I should have asked Alexis more information "Well I know you're thinking of doing something bad to your family"
He held his dirty fork at me "What are you talking about?! Who are you?!" He grabbed my shoulder aggressively pulling my chest closer to his fork "I don't know who you are or what your thinking but I love my wife and children"
I remained calm "I only know things I can not tell you how I know them" I frowned softly "but is another woman worth the lives of your children really?"
"I love Yolanda you have no right to judge me" from context I figured that was the other woman
I held up my hands "I wasn't judging you I just want you to think about what you're doing"
"I-I... I'm not doing anything!" He's very defensive for doing nothing
"Good" I nodded he nodded back and glanced at the pitcher of red Kool-aid
"W-would you like a glass?" He looked back at me
"No I'm fine" I held up a hand
"No no I insist it's very good" he grabbed it some of it sloshing over the brim with his forceful movement
"I don't drink that I'm fine" I nodded smiling
"I think you should have some just a little-" his eyes widened and he put a hand on his chest he dropped the pitcher completely
"Hey hey you okay?" I put my hand on his shoulder he fell forward I backed up and let him fall onto the ground I looked up and Alexis was standing behind him
"Did you kill him?!" I hissed
"Yeah he was gunna poison them and you" she pointed to the stab wound in his back still holding a butter knife that would have hit directly into the back of his heart
"No no no that's besides the point you didn't have to KILL HIM"
"I don't 'have' to do anything Harry I just did a good thing" she used the knife to point to his body it dripped on him
"WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THIS?! I WAS TRYING TO HELP HIM!" Alexis rolled her eyes and put the knife in his back pocket picking him up
"And he attempted to kill you" she started to drag him
"We aren't finished here!" I stomped following behind her
"I am I have to dump the body!" She yelled back walking down the trail his feet dragging making an annoying noise
"No! YOU CAN'T KEEP KILLING MY TARGETS! I HAVE A JOB TOO"
She turned the guy's head flinging around "and I would have let you have him BUT HE WAS PLANNING TO KILL YOU I READ HIS MIND GENIUS I SAVED YOU!"
"I don't need you to save me!"
She cocked an eyebrow "REALLY? You're too trusting had that been tea or something you would have been poisoned!" She pointed at me
"I'm not the stupid!"
She turned back around "I didn't say you were stupid I said you're naive" she started walking again
I followed "and what? I have to save people Alexis I've only saved 3 people this month how many have you killed?"
"20 so what I have a quota you don't, I have a boss you don't, and I will die if I don't" she sassed
"And I will never go home if I don't do this" she stopped at a dumpster and threw him in sometimes I forget she's got super human strength
"And daddy said you can come home? Because you've never mentioned that before" she put her hands on her hips
"W-well I... if I do a good job m-maybe I could he could give me my wings back..." I mumbled its crossed my mind a time or 2 that maybe I could go home
"Maybe?" She laughed "you're daddy is a fucked up dictator and you don't even know it! He controls you and tells you only what he wants you to know that's the definition of a dictator you're whole world is swallowed in vague fabricated false idols and fuzzy promises!"
"YOU CAN'T TALK ABOUT FATHER LIKE THAT!" Rage consumed me "HE IS EVERYTHING HE HAS MADE EVERYTHING HE KNOWS EVERYTHING I HAVE NO RIGHT TO QUESTION HIM AND NEITHER DO YOU!"
"AND WHY CANT I?! WHERE WAS DADDY WHEN I WAS TORTURED? WHERE WAS HE WHEN I WAS SENT TO HELL? WHY DIDN'T HE SHOW MERCY TO A FUCKED UP SCARED LITTLE GIRL WHO NEVER COMMITTED A SIN IN HER WHOLE MISERABLE LIFE! I HAD NO ONE NOT A GOD DAMN SOUL WHO TOOK PITY ON ME I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, NOTHING TO DESERVE WHAT I GOT AND THE ONLY TIME I EVER FELT ALIVE AND HAPPY WAS WHEN LUCY GAVE ME LOVE AND GAVE ME THE POWER TO COME BACK AND KILL THOSE SONS OF BITCHES AND I ENJOYED EVERY MINTUE OF THEIR SCREAMS OF AGONY" she screamed back her voice literally scrapping her throat with the anger she had
I swallowed hard and licked my lips "I-I don't think this will work out much longer"
"What?" She walked closer so our chests were only about an inch apart she looked up at me
"Us being together we're too different" I frowned deeply she grabbed my shoulders massaging them
"Do you really mean that babe?"
I sighed deeply "no" I love her too damn much
She nodded smirking smugly "yeah thought so"
