The Girl who wasn't supposed to be there.

Victoria had always hated silence. Not because it was peaceful but because it was never real. Silence in palaces meant something had gone wrong. It meant people were thinking too much, hiding too much, or grieving too deeply. And right now, the entire kingdom was silent.

Black banners hung outside the palace windows. Guards walked slower. Servants spoke in whispers. The world had changed overnight, but no one dared say it out loud.

King Alistair was gone.
And Victoria was now next.

“Your Highness,” a voice called gently.

Victoria didn’t turn immediately. She stayed by the window, staring at the cold horizon where the sky looked too empty for a crown to ever feel right.

“I said I’m not going,” she finally replied.

Her mother stepped closer...Queen Isabella, dressed in mourning black, but still standing like the world hadn’t broken her yet.

“You don’t have a choice anymore,” Isabella said softly. “The council is waiting.”

Victoria let out a bitter breath. “They’re not waiting for me. They’re waiting for a symbol. I’m not that.”

Silence fell again.
But this time, it wasn’t peaceful. It was heavy.

“I can’t do this,” Victoria whispered, her voice cracking for the first time.

Her mother didn’t argue immediately. That was the worst part Isabella understood.

“You are grieving,” she said carefully. “But running will not change what you are.”

Victoria finally turned.
Her eyes were red, not from weakness but from everything she was holding in.

“Then let me go,” she said. “Just until I’m ready. I need time… I need space where I’m not the crown.”

That was the moment everything changed. Because Queen Isabella didn’t say no.

She studied her daughter for a long moment… then nodded.

“Los Angeles,” she said.

Victoria blinked. “What?”

“You will stay with your aunt Leslie,” Isabella continued. “But understand this...running doesn’t remove your destiny. It only delays it.”

Victoria didn’t answer.
Because for the first time in days she felt like she could breathe.

This is the story of Victoria Winters but still the below characters have an important major role in the story. I hope you will not get confused.

(Setting in Los Angeles at Los Calabasas Highschool.)

"Hi girls!" Dawn Anderson a cute reddish blonde, fair skinned girl waved at her friends who sat at a rather distant table from the other students of Los calabasas Highschool in L.A having lunch together.

"Heeey," They all replied at once. At the table sat four of them. Hazel; the prettiest, blonde haired, greenish black eyed and slender. Paige;curly haired, brown eyed and a bit chubby. Lyn; black haired, black eyed and somehow Gothic but slender then Krystal;strawberry blonde haired, hazel brown eyes and skinny. Together with Dawn they made a group of five friends who called themselves "The nobled" since they all belonged to rich families.

"You're late, again" Hazel barked at Dawn.

"Sorry, was tryna get something good for myself." Dawn explained.

"What do you mean something good? We all decided that we were getting green pasta with onion chillies and grilled turkey burger."Paige said.

"I know, I know guys I screwed it up but you see today I forgot to bring a lot of cash with me." Dawn defended herself.

"Soo...is that why you decided to order a hotdog with chips and a pineapple juice?" Hazel asked her as she looked at her food which was placed at the table with disgrace.

Dawn was out of words. She disappointed her team...as always all over and over again.

"Well at least you could've ordered pizza margherita."Krystal said to Dawn as she had a fork of her turkey burger. "Am sure that would've been affordable."she concluded.

All of a sudden the electric bell rang and it was time for classes.

"Well, lunch is over now."said Hazel. "I hope you're all coming tonight at my house. I'm having a night barbecue."

They all replied at once, "yes" "And Dawn, please be early this time."added Hazel as she led the gang to their class for a lesson
