First things first, Magic was not planned, at all. I didn't even know what got Y/n to Korea in the first place and I was still publishing chapters.

So obviously, both Vernon and Moonbin confess to Y/n. It was my original idea to have the reader choose between two chapters, in which each chapters would have Moonbin's Ending (if you chose Moonbin) or Vernon's Ending (if you chose Vernon)

As an author, I also have to have both an author's point of view and a reader's point of view. In short, I really hated the magic part of my story. As unrealistic this story already is (because it's a fan fiction) the magic part just seemed too fake. It felt like the perfect accident.

I remember gearing this somewhere: have your characters accidentally get themselves in trouble, not out of it.

My favorite part of the story is when Eun Ae says that Y/n's love has to be earned, not owned. I find this really true as a feminist. Too many times women have been objectified. Same with men, but women mostly.

My inspiration for that line/topic was from the Disney movie Aladdin. It's when Jasmin says "I am not a prize to be won."
