Chapter 17

His Pov

I am in Reign's dining table, happily eating. She's there watching me and here this cute little sister of hers.

She's smiling at me while her ate is staring at me with a confused look.  Cute, both of them but i noticed that their eyes were different. Reign's eyes were pitch black while her sister is grayish same as mine.

Reign's skin is a little bit tan but her sister is white. But all in all their face were similar. From their hair, nose and a bit pouty pink lips.

Tumikhim muna si Reign para makuha ang atensyon ko na kanina'y andun sa kapatid niya.

"Bunso dun ka muna sa sala okay or tulog ka muna. Kausapin ko lang si kuya Nick ok"

Tunango naman ito at pumasok na sa isa sa mga kwarto.

"So, bakit dito ka dumiretso pagkagaling mong airport? Bakit di mo kasama yung pamilya mo ngayong magbabagong taon or yung baby mo. Alam ba niyang andito ka kasama kami?"

Napatawa naman ako dahil sa sunod sunod niyang mga tanong.

"Wait a minute. Isa isa lang mahina ang kalaban"

Uminom muna ako bago ko siya sinagot.

"Yeah they knew that i'm going home. Wait what's with the baby thing and everytime you talk about her, your not in the mood?"

Umiwas naman siya ng tingin sakin kaya sumilay ang ngiting di ko napigilan.

"Eh bakit ka ba kasi nandito baka magalit yung girlfriend mo. Dapat kayo ang magkasamang nagsecelebrate ng new year".

Di ko na nga napigilan. I burst out into laughter. So all along she thought that my sister whom i always call baby is my girlfriend? Tinignan niya ako ng masama dahil sa ginawa kong pagtawa.

"I don't have girlfriend Reign. That girl is my baby-"

Pinutol na naman niya ang sasabihin ko.

"Alam ko baby mo siya. Girlfriend diba"

"No i mean she's my baby sister. Remember Bree short for Breana. My only sister. My baby girl"

Napatakip naman siya ng nukha niya ng sabihin ko yun.

"Ikaw hah, you always do the speculation before asking me. You should ask me first before you conclude"

Tumungo naman siya at nagsalita.

"Akala ko kasi grabe naman kasi kayo magyakap eh. Tas nakita ko pa kayo sa office mo na nakakandong siya sayo"

Napatawa ulit ako, so she saw us in that situation and she concluded that Bree was my girl.

"We're just really close. She's always be my baby sister even if she grows up"

"Sweet niyo naman"

"Yeah, i am."

Nagsimula na rin siyang magligpit. I offer but she refuse it.

"So bakit ka nga dito dumiretso at di ka pa nagpasabi. Naligaw ka pa tuloy"

"I want to celebrate new year with you"

Diretso kung sagot sa kanya.

"Eh bakit ako, eh yung family mo"

"I've been celebrating christmas and new year these past few years with them or alone sometimes. I want new and because i have you that's why i decided to celebrate it with you and your family. And i really want to surprise you that's why i didn't call"

Nagpupunas na siya ng kamay niya ng humarap siya sakin.

She's really beautiful even in her home clothes. A simple shirt and cotton short. Hair tie into a messy bun. Face free from any make up.

I couldn't stop myself from staring and admiring her. She went to their sala so i followed her. She sit on their sofa made of bamboo. Their house is simple, not so small, not so big but very neat and clean. She has a small Tv and a ref that all i know is one of those things that she bought for her family when she first receive her salary.

She look at me and we just stare for some minutes. But it stops when the door open and an old man went inside the house.

Reign stand up and greeted the man. She even held the man's hand and placed it in her forehead for greetings in Filipino tradition.

Tumingin naman sakin yung matandang lalaki at sinipat ako mula ulo hanggang paa.

"Sino siya Reign, boyfriend mo?"

Tanong nung matanda kay Reign.

"Hindi po tsong kaibigan ko pa. Wala po kasi siyang kasama kaya naisipan niyang makicelebrate dito"

Tinignan ulit ako ng matanda.
Kaya naman bumati na rin ako sa kanya at nagmano.

"Magandang gabi po. Nick po pala, makikicelebrate po sana ako dito sa inyo kung okay lang"

Tinignan ko naman si Reign na medyo nakangiwi rin.

"Talaga bang hindi mo to boypren Reign? Magandang lalaki eh mukha ring mayaman"

Sabay sipat nito sa suot ko.

"Hindi po tsong. Kaibigan ko lang po"

"Oh siya. Magpapahinga muna ako"

Sabay talikod nito samin. Sinundan pa ito ni Reign para tanungin.

"Tsong di po ba kayo kakain?"

"Busog pa ako. Gisingin mo na lang ako pag alas dose na"

Sabay sara nito sa kwartong pinasukan.

"Pasensyahan mo na si tsong, nakainom na naman ata"

"It's okay. So what would you prepare for noche buena?"

Sabay tingin niya sa orasan na nakasabit sa dingding nila. It's already 10:00 pm.

So she go to the kitchen and do the work. She look at her ref and get some ingredients.

She's now cooking so i excuse myself to get something inside my car. The cake which i bought from my way here and the basket of fruits. I also bought a fireworks to add enjoyment for the upcoming new year.

I get back to their house. She look at me then in my both hands.

"Oh nag abala ka pang bumili ng mga ganyan"

"I just want to. Kahit makaambag man lang ako ng konti para sa ihahanda natin"

Then she get the cake and put inside the ref while she put the fruits on the table. Then i excuse myself again to go inside Ralph room.

Hiningi ko ang tulong niya para iayos yung nabili kong fireworks. Willing naman siya, he's also approaching me like i am really his big brother which i like too.

Natapos kami at pumasok na sa loob, saktong katatapos lang ni Reign na maluto ang spaghetti niya.

Peru busy pa rin siya sa paghahalo ng kung anu anu. Tumikhim ako para makuha ang atensyon niya.

Pero mukhang busy siya kaya di ko na siya inistorbo pa, then i get my phone from the pocket of my pants then i take a photo of her.

Di naman niya napapansin kaya itinuloy ko lang iyon sa iba't ibang anggulo.

Dahil nasa bungad lang ako ng pinto papuntang kusina nila kaya di rin niya ako napansin pero natigil ako ng may tumapik sa balikat ko.

Hinarap ko kung sino iyon si Ralph lang pala. Nginitian niya ako at giniya sa sala nila.
