Chapter 4

His POV

Monday morning...

It's 7:30 am and i'm already at my office but my new secretary is not yet here.

Reign where are you?

Is she really aware about my condition? Such an unprofessional worker.

I headed to my chair and sat on it. I just turned my view on the city. Busy road, busy people, and busy world. All were on a hurry.

I've been so mesmerized by what i am seeing outside when my door open. I didn't faced the person who came in.

But after  minutes, no one speaks so i decided to face whoever it is.
Then dang, i found a lady with a messy hair, sitting on the floor of my office and breathing heavily like she just run into a marathon, sweat are all over her face. She even put her hand on her chest to calm herself.

Ang balak ko sanang pagsaway ay di natuloy dahil sa nakita kong kalagayan niya.

Tumayo ako sa tabi niya at binigay ang panyong nasa bulsa ko at ibinigay ko na rin ang tubig na nasa mesa ko.

Kinuha naman niya ito agad at parang isang lagukan lang yung pag inom niya sa tubig at nagsimula na rin siyang magpunas ng pawis at tumayo.

"S-sorry sir, i'm late. I really try to be early but some circumstances happen."

"Ms. Ligaya calm down first, take a seat."

Giniya ko siya paupo sa receiving area sa loob ng office ko at naupo na rin ako sa harapang upuan sa kanya.

"So, Ms. Ligaya what happened to you? You look so awful early in the morning."

She just sigh and look at me with an apologetic face.

"Sir, kasi, ganito yun. Di na ako mag eenglish para masabi ko at maintindihan mo. Kaninang umaga, nagising ako ng 5:30. By 6 umalis na ako sa apartment ko, sumakay ako ng jeep ang kaso nang nasa kalagitnaan na ang biyahe muntik ng mabangga ng isang delivery truck yung sinakyan kong jeep. Nagkaroon ng abala sa daan kaya natagalan akong makarating dito sa building mo sir. Pasensya na po, di na talaga mauulit sir. Sorry promise ngayon lang to, give me another chance sir please."

Then she got me stunned when she kneel in front of me begging to give her another chance.

"Ms. Ligaya, stand up. You don't have to kneel just to beg for another chance."

Then she got up and started to talk

"But sir, sabi mo fired na ako pag nalate ako. Pero kasi sir kailangan ko talaga ng trabahong to."

"I accepted your reason no need to beg nor kneel. Don't do it again even if you have to. Don't do it because we're all humans. Kneeling is for praying or praising our God and i am merely just a human being."

"Now get back to work. I guess the HR department already oriented you about your work. Now get my schedule and see if i have meetings this morning."

Then i get back to my table while she went out to get my schedule.

The day went well, i attended my meetings in the conference room. She's just on the other side listening while taking notes. But i can still see her amazement about seeing and hearing about the corporate world.

After that, everyone leave the room except the three of us, me, my secretary and my cousin Luix.

He's asking about my new secretary.
So i let my secretary to go out first before i face my cousin.

"Dude, your new secretary is a hot chick, a certified drop dead gorgeous. Seems innocent but i guess wild on bed."

Lintaya nitong pinsan kung kilalang babaero sa buong clan ng Villanueva.

"You can pick girls all you want Luix, except my secretary. Your right she's innocent and he doesn't deserve a man like you. Got it now leave and don't bother Reign again. Lastly, she just started working this day so don't distract her work."

Bigla naman siyang ngumisi ng nakakaloko. Tsk, tsk ewan ba kung magbabago pa ba tung pinsan kung to.

I go back on my office, i check my watch and it's already lunch time so i call my secretary. In just a seconds she's already on my view.

"Yes, sir?"

"You can have your lunch now Ms. Ligaya and please call the ******* restau and just tell my name they know what i want."

"Ok, sir."

Then lumabas na rin siya.
After some minutes dumating na ang order ko.

Days, weeks and months passed by so fast. Mag ta-tatlong buwan ko na ring secretary si Reign. I don't have doubt about her work. She's very professional, efficient and very patient in her work and in dealing my mood.

She's very dedicated in her work. I can say, i hired the right person.

It's already lunch when i suppose to call her but instead i go out of my office to see her personally.

Eksakto namang nag aayos siya ng mesa niya.

"Sir, may iuutos po kayo?"

"No, i just want to ask if you're going to eat lunch"

"Ah opo sir, bakit?"

"I just want to treat you lunch if it's ok."

"Ah sir, may baon po kasi ako. Tsaka di naman po ako sanay na sa labas kumain."

"Oh, if that's the case then call the cafeteria and order me some food and bring it to my office."

After some minutes...

Pumasok siya dala ang dalawang tray ng pagkain. Left and right hand pa ang gamit at halata namang nahihirapan talaga...

"Sir, saan ko po to ilalagay?"

"On the table, bat pala and dami niyan?"

"Eh di ko kasi alam kung anu gusto mo kaya kumuha ako ng lahat ng ulam dun sa cafeteria"

Pagkalapag niya ay tumalikod na siya. Pero tinawag ko siya ulit.

"Ms. Ligaya, join me for lunch. Di ko ito mauubos."

"Pero sir-"

"That's an order"

Tapos may binulong pa siya pero narinig ko naman.

"Sabi ko nga"

Having lunch with someone like Reign who eats like nobody cares makes me crave to eat more than the usual eating of mine.

Matapos nun ay pinatawag ko na ang taga cafeteria para kunin ang pinagkainan namin kahit pa nagpupumilit siyang siya na ang magbabalik noon kaya tinutulan ko na agad.
