Rare Blood Chapter 5

Fallacy P.O.V

I walked out of the room and towards the Library. My cape swayed as I took great steps to make it a faster walk. Once I stopped at the large double doors I pulled on the handle and let the doors open and greet me with a rusty whine.

These doors need to be redone

I took little mental notes as I made my way to the shelves and blew off a few of the books, dust clouded the air. I usually am in the Library but rarely do I visit the files of the villagers and vamps. I knew my families files were in this library, however hidden well to only where I know where they hide. Not even Suave knows where they are.

I trail the tip of my finger over the worded label's until I pull out Encre's file and slip it out from the shelf. I blew this off as well and the same thing happens....I get blinded by dust.

I wipe my eyes and pat down the front of me before making my way over to my red chair that sat by the small fire a servant must have done knowing I'd be in here some point today. I plop down and cross my legs, opening the file and taking in all the information that this small file gives me.

I was deeply interested once I got to blood type...well, her blood is quite rare. Sweet? Is this all true? Hmmm she has a brother as well...but what about her parents? This file states nothing of the sort....it tells me that the girl originally came from a different kingdom. A kingdom I've once attacked. I wonder....

I shook my head. I'm probably wrong. I closed the file deciding I had seen enough and I should probably keep it hidden from the girl...or should I show her? I smiled, maybe I should give the file to her to prove that I know much about her.

I stood up, but noticed something. There's a peice missing from her file. How on earth has a part of Encres file gone missing! I opened the file back up trying to think of possibilities.

I must find the rest of the information to this young girl. For all I know is that I might be missing something. I don't even know her last name! That's key information.

"Suave! May you come here."

"Yes your majesty?" Suave entered the library as he spoke.

"I need you to take this file and hide it in your quarters." I began, "Is Encre still asleep?"

Suave nodded, "Right away sir. And yes, she is still sleeping in her room."

I handed Suave the file, "You may leave."

Suave took the file and bowed before taking his leave. I soon left to Encres room. Outside the door I pondered with my thoughts, do I knock? Of course not. This is my castle and I am king. If she is asleep then I want her to continue resting.

I entered the lady's room and caught immediate sight of her. She was curled up on the bed while her bedding, besides a few pillows, were on the floor. I was inraged. She must've gone asleep shivering from the cold. I am such an idiot! I left her wet and cold!

I growled, I must make it up to her. I shall take her through the gardens once she awakens. I smiled at the small thought. She would love the garden.

I was still angered at the thoughts of my foolishness. I gently scooped her up from her bed and walked her into my room towards my kingsized bed. I made sure to tuck her in nice and snug beneath my blankets.

I couldn't help but gaze at her with such wonder and curiosity. What must she be dreaming about? I laid down beside her and continued to gaze at her with such love.

I ran my fingers down the side of her sleeping face, "Nobody will harm you my love."

Once I spoke the last part I saw a slight smile appear on her precious face. I was really hoping she didn't hear me, but at the same time I hoped she heard me as well.

"I...love you too.."

I couldn't help but smile. I know she was asleep but those words warmed my heart.

I wrapped my arms around her and held her protectively against me. When she awakens then I'll be here to tease and mock her. Until then I want to enjoy this special moment.
