New team?

'The nerve of that guy. Hopefully I don't cross paths with him again.' You reached for home and immediately plopped onto your bed. You were pretty much drained from today even though it wasn't much of a busy day, but walking three days took a toll on you. You stared up at the blank ceiling before you started to close your eyes and drifted off to sleep.

*Timeskip*

You were awaken by the sound of someone loudly banging the door. "(Y/n)!!" And you instantly recognized that loud, energetic voice. You slumped out of your bed while rubbing your eyes and opened the door to find Naruto standing there.

"Good you're awake. Let's go!" He grabbed your hand and yanked you out of the door. Your black ninja sandals  skidded on ground but you reeled your hand away from him.

"Where to and what for?"

"Another mission! Isn't this awesome!"

"Um I guess." 'Why must I be tortured mission after mission without much rest.'

You two found Sakura waiting for you in front of a facility. She was glad to see you finally arrived. "Finally (Y/n). You really shouldn't pick up after Kakashi Sensei's habit."

"Yeah yeah." You dismissed her comment with a wave of your hand, not really caring what she had to say at the moment.

"Where are the others?"

"Others? What others? And why wasn't I informed about this?" You questioned them as you were the last one to find out about whatever they were talking about.

"Lady Tsunade is adding an additional member to our team and a new captain."

"But why another member when we're already a three man squad."

"Who knows, but maybe they could help us. We were originally a four man squad so maybe she wants to keep it that way."

"Well whoever it is better be someone that'll benefit us and someone who I won't come to dislike." Right when you said those words, Sai had stepped out of the facility and gave you all a wave.

'"Oh no." You placed your hand over your face not wanting to deal with this guy again.

"What are you doing here? You're that guy from the roof earlier," said Naruto while giving him a glare. Sakura was perplexed about the situation as she glanced between you three. Behind Sai, another man stepped out with short brown hair with a happuri styled forehead protector that framed his face along with the regular attire for a Jonin.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all. From now on I'll be filling in as your captain during Kakashi's absence. You may call me Yamato. All four of you will be working together so you better learn to get along as comrades."

"I'm sorry about earlier Naruto, (Y/n). I just wanted to test your abilities but from what I saw, you guys did poorly." You furrowed your eyebrows at his remark and felt like punching his face. Naruto was about to jump on him and beat him up but Sakura restrained him.

"What's your problem Sai?" You asked him straightforwardly. He didn't have to insult you guys.

"Yeah, you won't get many friends if you talk like that," added in Sakura.

"Well I like everyone, even you ugly. Maybe Y/n) can give you a few tips to help you out on your ugliness."

Well that was a burn to her. You shifted away from Sakura as she fumed with anger trying to attack him but was restrained by Captain Yamato.

"That's enough everyone! We will be deployed immediately so uh for right now why don't we introduce ourselves."

"Naruto Uzumaki."

"Sakura Haruno."

"(Yn) (L/n)," you said while crossing your arms over your chest.

"And you can call me Sai." This team is definitely going to have some issues. Captain Yamato began to discuss the details about the mission to Tenchi Bridge. Along with the hope of encountering Sasuke again. You wonder how he's been these past couple of years, but after abandoning us, there's a chance he doesn't give a damn about us.

Naruto and Sakura were eager to go after hearing Sasuke's name.

"I'll let you pack your things and we're to meet at the main gate in exactly one hour." With that he dismissed us and disappeared.

*One hour later*

The five of us were already standing at the main gate, but you couldn't help but give Sai wary side glances every so often. Naruto and Sakura had an annoyed look clearly expressed in their face and I guess you wouldn't blame them. Who knows if we'll even get along with this guy but it's the worth a try.

"Alright everyone let's move out!"

'This could be our chance to take down Orochimaru and retrieve Sasuke. It's only a matter of succeeding or failing now.'
