Sasuke's Retrieval

I swear I'll get you for this Sasuke.

Unbeknownst to you all, Sakura's eyes had cracked open a little. Her mind was in a daze but the sound of your voice had managed to reach her ears. She could've been delusional but the presence of your chakra assured her that it was you. Closing her eyelids shut her mind went unconscious.

Naruto's P.O.V.

The repetitive knocking on my door had woken me up from my slumber. Looking out the window I saw that the sun hadn't even risen yet. Furious at whoever was knocking I rolled off the bed and walked towards the door.

Opening the door there stood Shikamaru. Filling me in on the details I couldn't believe what I was hearing from him. "No way you've got to be kidding!" I yelled out while rubbing the crust from my eyes.

My shoulders began to quiver but I immediately ran inside to get dressed. Running back outside I had an idea on who else to take on this mission.

"I'll get (Y/n) to join us!" Quickly going next door I loudly knocked on her door trying to wake her up. There was no response at all. Pounding on the door even louder and shouting her name there still wasn't any sound coming from the inside. Grabbing the doorknob I was surprised that it was unlocked but I barged inside and saw no sign of her.

"Judging from the way things are it seems she hasn't been home," responded Shikamaru.

I guess Sakura's information was right but now I'll have to break it to Naruto, thought Shikamaru as he felt lonesome without your presence in the village.

"Was it my fault?! I knew I should've walked her home last night from Ichirakus!" Going into panic mode I started yanking my hair.

"Relax, there's more information that I need to inform you on. It's about (Y/n)."

"Hm? What is it? Spill it out already."

"Before Sasuke left, Sakura sensed (Y/n)'s chakra there. No one knows where she is but Sakura believes she left the village as well, but she said she was unsure if she left on her own free will and possibly betrayed us. Although she doesn't seem like the type that would do something like that."

"No, she wouldn't desert the village. That's impossible! We have to go after her." I immediately grabbed Shikamaru's arm and dragged him to gather the rest of the members that we're going to join us.

Reader's P.O.V.

You don't know how much time has passed so far but you boredly sat inside wanting to find a way to escape or unseal the barrier ninjutsu. If it was genjutsu it'd be simple but Fūinjutsu? You've never had practice with that. There was soon no sound of movement and figured they stopped and settled you down on the ground. From the inside you could hear voices speaking and you were able to distinguish Sasuke's voice.

Pounding the barrel you began to shout at Sasuke to release you along with his companions. Hearing a pained grunt you didn't know what was happening outside but you'd somehow find out.

"Keep it down brat," shouted a female who seemed to be annoyed by your ruckus.

Growling at her remark you suddenly felt your curse mark start to activate and pain was beginning to emit from your neck to the rest of your body. Clutching your neck a purple aura began to surround your body and leak from the inside of the barrel.

I have to get out. I'll take the chance once it opens.

"Her curse mark is leaking we have to give her the pill," said one the males.

"We can't take any chances with her."

"But it could blow our cover." They were indecisive about the situation but nonetheless wanted to settle down your curse mark and possibly activate it to stage 2.
