Rescuing Kevin.

"Where is he?" I whispered to Alex as we slowly creeped throughout the ship, urgently looking for Kevin. "In here!" Piper signalled as she was stood looking in a doorway, I ran down and saw Kevin in a small room playing with some toys. "Put down my son" a voice echoed throughout the gallows of the ship as I picked up Kevin. I turned around to see the psycho Captain stood behind us with a gun. I refused to put Kevin down "I said put my son down" the captain repeated and took a shot, missing me by inches. "You go to the deck and get on a lifeboat, if I'm not there in 15 mins go without me." Alex said as she stood ready to take on the Captain.

We all hesitantly started to run, jumping over obstacles that stood in our way. We could hear shots from behind. "Don't stop, come on!" Red shouted at me as I stopped to see if Alex had been killed. After what felt like years on the ship we emerged into daylight for the first time, "stay low and quiet" Piper said as we tried to avoid the other shipmates. We snuck over to the lifeboat which was conveniently docked ready to be deployed. We all snuck in without being detected as Piper set a 15 minute alarm on her watch.

"5.... 4.... 3... 2" Piper counted down "Wait!" We heard a voice say as the lifeboat door swung open and to my relief I saw Alex perching in. "Hurry!" Piper signalled. I smacked the button and the lifeboat plunged 60 feet down into the water. We all flung forward as we impacted the water and we could hear shouts from above as the crew noticed what had happened. We could hear bullets bouncing off the metal boat and we quickly started the engine and sailed away to safety. "Do you know how to work this thing?" I said to Piper who was sat at the controls "No not really but if I'm correct Spain is this way." She said as she continued to control the boat. Let's just hope she's correct.

I know this is a short chapter. Slowly lost my confidence to write but hopefully I can get back to writing more often.
