Chapter 32

LIYLA'S POV

We finally arrived to the pack house and Colton immediately shifted.

We ran into the pack house and searched for Michael.

"Dad." Colton yelled,

Moments later, Nicole and Michael came out.

"What's wrong?" Nicole asked, immediately noticing our state.

"The Counsel. We overheard then at the waterfall." Colton said,

"Come, let's talk about this in the office." Michael said,

We ran to the office and Nicole closed and locked the door behind her.

"Ok, continue." Michael said as we sat down on the couches.

"I took Liyla to the waterfall for a while and while we were there. They counsel came out and revealed that they had a sword that could kill below. We were hidden so they couldn't see us, but one turned into a Drake when we accidentally made a sound." Colton explained,

"Luckily, he was called back and they left." He finished,

Michael got up quietly and started to pace the office.

"A sword that can kill Nekos." Michael muttered and rubbed his chin.

I whimpered softly and curled into Colton's side.

He looked down at me before wrapping his arms around me and pulled me closer.

"This is getting out of hand. I'm going to call Alpha Gabriel and inform of this. We have to be ready for the counsel and there are going to be rules enforced for the pack's safety." Michael said,

"Yes, that's a good idea." Nicole said,

"Alright, Colton since you're still not officially Alpha, I'm going to deal with this. You and Liyla can leave." Michael said,

"Ok." Colton said and got up.

He offered me his hand and accepted it and got up.

We left the office and walked outside.

"Come, I'll take you home." Colton said,

I nodded my head and we silently walked to his car. he opened the door for me and I got in. I watched as he walked around and got in.

We pulled off and it was silent for a while.

"What is Michael planning to do?" I asked Colton,

"I'm not sure yet, but we don't want to attack them first." Colton said, running his hand through his still damp hair.

I nodded my head when I thought popped into my head.

"How is, umm Preston?" I asked,

Colton remained quiet for a moment and I looked over at him. His face was hard and his grip tightened around the wheel.

"He... He shut the connection between us. I don't know how he's doing." He finally replied,

"Is that good?" I asked, becoming worried.

Colton sighed and pulled the car to the side. He turned it off and turned to look at me.

"No, Liyla. It isn't. If he continues to block our connection then he'll be lost forever in our mind." Colton said,

I gasped in horror and looked away.

"Is there anyway to get him back?" I asked,

Colton nodded his head and looked down. I laid my hand over his and he wrapped his around it.

"I have to give him control again." He softly said,

A shaky breath left my lips and my belly churned. I raised my hand and softly touched Colton's cheek.

"Are you going to give it back to him?" I softly asked,

It was quiet for a long time and Colton's breathing got harder. The longer it was quiet, the more my belly churned in the most horrible way ever.

"I don't want to. He doesn't deserve to have you. He was an ass and shouldn't be allowed to have you, but I do. I love you so much and I'd do anything for you. I want to be the one to be with you. Preston is weak and can't control himself not to mention an entire pack. I can love you so much more and give you whatever your heart desires. You're a Neko now so your being would know the feeling more now." Colton said,

Tears were streaming down both our faces and I smiled at him.

"I love you too, Colton. But we can't loose Preston. He's your other self. Without him, you would loose a part of yourself that you wouldn't get back. You two have been together from since forever. I don't want you to loose him. Please Colton, let Preston get back the control and I promise to love you both. We can't be selfish here and I'm sure Preston has learned his lesson by now." I said, stroking his cheek.

Colton looked away and nodded his head.

"I want to spend some more time with you and tomorrow night, I'll let Preston out." Colton said,

I nodded my head and I leaned forward and softly kissed his lips.

"I love you." He whispered against my lips.

We were quiet for some time just holding each other until we were back on the rode.

We reached my house in half an hour and Colton parked on the side.

"I'll see you tomorrow." Colton said,

"Ok, bye." I said and we quickly kissed before I got out the car.

Mom and Dad were both home and I entered the house.

"Mom! Dad! I'm home!" I yelled as I closed the door.

"Liyla, come into the kitchen." Mom yelled,

I walked into the kitchen to find mom and dad sitting at the kitchen table.

"Hi." I said and noticed a boy sitting beside mom.

"Liyla, I'd like you to meet, Ethan. He's your cousin." Mom said,

The boy, Ethan smiled at me and revealed fangs.
