Deception

Deception, a silvery lie that falls forever through lips so soft

Entice me with the slithering of the snake, hidden high in the loft

Eternity whispers through my spirit, entwined by your silky deceit

Even when all masquerades are disposed, the snake still lingers at my feet.

Blind eyes always follow where the rainbows should have been

The possibility to escape your grace had long disappeared by then.

Truth, ever revealed, is the way of the light so bright

Eternal beauty, honesty divine, I falsified with all my might.

A writhing, living noose, the lies that I so believed

Until you loosened the hold, falling into your arms never so relieved.

In an instant silk can turn to ash , the brightest of midnight stars will die,

My darling let love return, let us breathe without the bitter taste of lies.
