Lost in the Fire.
Last night I called upon a dragon
Just to feel his flames
The heat was indescribable
But the pleasure was worth the pain.
I rode upon his wings of steel
And touched his heart so cold
Trusting mischief, taunting fate,
I let his talons rip my soul.
When I was coerced into his fire
I did not notice the burn
He distracted me with songs of flying,
Held back all of my concern.
My mighty dragon,
Borne from the mists of night,
Would not let me hold onto him
And vanished from my sight.
He left my heart smoldering there,
In the midst of his forgotten flames
I cannot blame his nature though,
His pleasure was worth my pain.
