I looked on in curiousity as the man said something to Tanya with a wicked smile on his face. I couldn't help but think that he looked familiar.

I saw Tanya's shoulders tense as she wrapped an arm around Anthony's shoulders, quickly guiding him towards the parking lot and away from the man. The man just chuckled, shaking his head. Then, he turned to look at no one other than myself.

The man's eyes pierced into my own, and not in a good way. He looked downright mean, as if he were thinking of something horrible.

Who is he? And why is he looking at me?

"Dude what's that guy's problem?" Louis' voice broke my thoughts and I turned to see that he and Zayn were looking back and forth between me and the man.

I shook my head, turning to see that he was still staring.

"I have no idea, I've never even seen him before." I muttered.

Shaking my head, I looked back at the field to see that Liam was in possession of the ball, looking for an open pass since two defenders were on him. He managed to use some fancy footwork to get past them, taking it upfield.

Just at that moment though, he glanced our way. His gaze didn't go directly to me though, it went to the man at the fence. Liam paled, stutter stepping as he followed the man's eyes directly to me, whom he was still staring relentlessly at.

In that second, one of the defenders on the other team slide tackled Liam, but went for his ankle and not the ball.

All at once, I was on my feet, Liam cried out, and the ref blew the whistle.

I held my breath as time stood still, Liam on the ground as he clutched his ankle. Niall was screaming at the opponent who had illegally slide tackled his friend, a ref trying to separate the two of them.

Without thinking I pushed past Zayn and Louis, ignoring their calls after me, running down to the edge of the fence. I leaned against the metal, looking onto the field.

I could feel the stranger's eyes on me, only a few feet to my right, but I ignored it.

Liam was still on the ground, his coach and a trainer surrounding him. The crowd was hushed and most players had taken a knee. A few seconds passed and suddenly Liam looked up, clenching his teeth in pain.

The first place he looked was my direction, and he gave me a meek smile. I let out a breath of relief I didn't realize I had been holding. I smiled back at him.

Just then though, Liam's gaze hardened as he looked away from me and to the man beside me. I glanced to my right and saw that the man was watching mine and Liam's exchange with curious eyes.

Looking back at Liam, there was a fury in his eyes I had never seen. His jaw was clenched tight and even from across the field I could see that the vein in his neck was prominent. He said something to the trainer and shoved his coach away from him as he stood up, wobbly on his feet.

I sucked in a breath as Liam stumbled when he put weight on his hurt ankle, but thankfully he caught himself. His trainer tried to help him walk but he simply shoved him away and limped back to his starting position.

The crowd and players clapped, people cheering on Liam for toughing through the injury. Everyone except for the man on my right, the man who Liam obviously knew. The man who was staring at me as if I were a threat. Who is he?

The game started right back up without another glance at me from Liam, and I couldn't help but be disappointed. He had been looking at me every couple minutes or so, but now it was like I didn't even exist.
