Review:
Chapter 1: Of record- Last Friday Night by Katy Perry is one of my favorite songs! I love getting book ideas from songs, it's so entertaining =P
Okay, now on to the real review.
I like where the story started, it was gripping from the start- so props for that. I thought the flow of the story went really well, the only part I was semi-confused about was the beginning part where the story was giving the background on Sam's life as a "wallflower". It was confusing because it wasn't in present tense and it made seem like what they girls were talking about in the restroom...but I did say it was only semi-confusing, by reading slowly I could tell where the scenes started and ended, so it's still good. I really like where your story is going by the way- the first chapter builds a lot of drama and suspense that keeps people interested. For me, I was thinking, "oh my gosh, that guy probably had one of the best one night stand of his life and thought the girl would stay, but she didn't. It's gonna be sooo awkward and fun when they finally meet each other again!" <--- That's the kind of things you want someone to think when they read you're book. Hook and bait baby, keep's 'em coming. Don't worry if the reads aren't picking up as fast as you'd desire though- when you have a good book and are feeding it to the right audience, it'll catch up soon enough :)
The only other thing I would advise in changing was punctuation. It was hard to understand what some of the characters were saying sometimes because of that. Maybe getting an editor or asking someone to read it and see if it sounds well to them will help. Or even better (what I do, since I have the same problem) read it aloud- It really helps. Other than that, I thought you're story was great. Love-able story line, realistic characters, and fun, but not over the top romance.
PS: Have you ever read Enjoying The Chase by Kristy1000 (a Wattpad novel)? Because, and I find it kinda funny, you're main character Samantha Peters has the same name (first & last) of one of the characters in ETC. If that's a coincident, it's a pretty cool one. Great minds think alike, right? =)
