Breathe Me The Stars
It is the year 2942.
A monumental age in the smallest moment of humanity.
Humans have sprawled across the galaxy.
And the next step to human evolution has begun - the ability to communicate with stars.
For we are as alive as you, and we've been watching the Earth since the dawning of life. We've watched you throw yourselves into war, cling to the tiniest spark of love and hope, as you struggle, thrive, and eventually, scatter amongst the stars to make your next mark in history.
But when I, a young three billion year old star, decided to risk everything to walk among you through the separation of mind from body, I never knew of the disastrous consequences that would follow.
For a star's mind can only survive a month separated from her body, and once my mind dies, so does my body. And when it does, it'll collapse into a black hole that will swallow up and consume everything around it.
I've been given one month to stop a war.
One month to learn what it means to be human.
And one month to convince the other stars that humans are worth fighting for when the Void comes.
And it will.
