Chapter 38: Hate Suspicions

CHAPTER 38

*Janelle’s P.O.V.*

I woke up and I saw that it was around 2 in the morning. After I took the medication, I fell asleep shortly after. I was going to wait for Niall, but he was taking longer than I expected.

I sat up and I saw Niall sitting right next to the bed, with his head resting on the bed and his hand wrapped around mines. I saw that and I couldn’t help but smile. I felt that tingling feeling in me, and I couldn’t help but just think about the flashbacks I had in my coma and even the event that happened when I did wake up.

            Yeah I did remember everything. When Niall told me all that, to be honest, I was very surprised. But yet, at the same time, I was happy. But do I love him back like that? And what about our friendship? What will everyone else think? What will the fans think?

            I tried going back to sleep, but I couldn’t. So I decided to just watch some TV. I grabbed the remote and flipped it to some celebrity news channel. Let’s see what I’ve missed in the last few days.

“And here we are standing in front of Mullingar Hospital awaiting more news on Janelle Quiocho. For about the past week, One Direction has visited this hospital everyday. It was officially confirmed a couple days ago that they were here visiting Janelle, their best friend, who received a broken leg and rib and had entered a coma after her incident last week,” the anchorwoman said.

People are talking about me?

“After her graduation/birthday party, her and Niall Horan, as rumored, went up to the roof to do some talking. A few minutes later, she is pushed off the roof and lands on a table, a 50 ft. fall. As of right now, the police’s only lead is the one and only Niall Horan. However, there are claims that someone else did it and ran off. Police have not started investigating, but they will once Janelle has woken up. Let’s take a look at what some people have to say.”

“I don’t think Niall did it, but I do think Janelle deserves to be in there,” a blonde girl said as she popped up on the screen. “Yeah! I hope she never wakes up,” said a brunette girl, who was standing right next to her. “I honestly don’t understand why the boys even visit. She’s not that special. I’m only here to see them anyways,” said another girl who popped up on the screen. Wow. The fans hate me that much?

            “This has been TMZ. Please tune in next week to see what new stories will be talked about next!” the anchorwoman said ending the show. I turned off the TV and grabbed Niall’s phone. I got in and looked at his twitter.

@NiallOfficial where are u?! why don’t you just come out of the hospital?!

Stop visiting Janelle! She probably doesn’t care that much about u. but I LOVE YOU NIALL!

Janelle deserves to be in there! Hope she’s getting a good night’s rest!

And the tweets just got worse and worse. I couldn’t handle it anymore. I locked his screen and put his phone back where I found it. The fans hate me. Should I have woken up from that coma?

“Guys! Be quiet! Niall is still sleeping!” I heard someone say in the room. Is that Liam?

“Liam, Niall can practically sleep through anything. I’m sure we’ll be just fine,” I heard Louis say.

“I cannot believe Janelle hasn’t woke up yet,” Zayn said.

“Don’t give up on her yet Zayn!” Harry said.

“I didn’t say that I was!” Zayn replied back. Hmm? Should I surprise them? It would be a nice gift for them, wouldn’t it?
