Odell POV
"Man what were you thinking?" Jarvis questioned.
"I wasn't thinking, I was just mad."
"You being mad is going to mess up relationship. You need to control your temper."
"I know, and this one over here won't shut up about it." I pointed at Ben who was on his Snapchat then sucked his teeth.
"I don't care. Shouldn't have fucked up. Should've handled your business." Ben stated.
It was no secret I felt like the biggest ass in the world right now. I let my temper get the best of me, and I have the tendency to say anything out of mouth when I'm upset and it's obvious I need to work on that. We all were chilling in my living room until there was a knock at the door.
"I'll get it." Ben said, getting up.
"Where his ass at?" I heard a female voice yell out when the door opened.
"What is this be rude to Ben day? Hell, I thought we was cool."
"Sorry Ben, I'm a woman on a mission." Kim entered the living room, waved at Jarvis, then sat in the one seat couch next to me.
"Well hello to you too Kim." I told her, feeling offended.
"I'm not happy with you right now."
"You came to give me grief too?"
"You should've known this was coming. And she got a mouthful from me too. My thing is why did you call her a bitch?"
"I didn't call her a bitch, I said she was acting like one."
"That's the same thing. That's like if it looks like a duck and acts like a duck, what is it?"
"Aflac?" She punched my arm. "Ow! I was kidding."
"I'm not playing with you. You need to talk to her."
"For what? She's not trying to talk to me, all she's gonna do is dismiss the conversation. That's the problem now."
"Look, I see where Rayne is coming from on her part. When y'all first started dating, she had to deal with Tyson crazy ass bothering her after she rejected him. This nigga snatching her up in the club like he owns her, then he attacks her and you fight him on y'all first date. Then later down the line of the relationship her ex shows up in Hawaii. How does that even look?"
"So you're saying she's right not telling me that was her ex, disregarding everything else?"
"I'll admit that she was wrong for not telling you and I told her that, but other than that the situation is that she's scared."
"Scared for what? I'm not going to let her past define what she means to me."
"That's the thing. From what I can tell you, what happened between them was bad."
"What you mean?" I sat up a little more, giving her my full attention.
"Carter destroyed her. Rayne wasn't herself, she fell into a pit of depression. The relationship between them was forced and toxic, it almost ruined our friendship. It took a long time for her to bounce back, I haven't seen her genuinely happy until she met you. She's going to explain everything go talk to her."
