Shari in the MM.

Rayne POV

"What if we lose and I don't get this restraining order?" I asked Carl, our family lawyer.

"Don't think negative, we're gonna win this case."

We were currently on recess since the case before us ran later than expected. Carl, Kim and I were sitting at a Starbucks not too far from the courthouse, going over the evidence I have against Tyson to have my restraining order granted. Odell couldn't come because he had some interviews today for the Pro Bowl, I wish he was here though.

"Is there any possibility that any of this evidence can be thrown out?"

"I have a strong feeling it won't be, don't stress yourself out we got this."

"Calm your nerves girl and let Carl do his job." Kim told me.

"Ugh why me?" I ran my fingers through my hair.

"This can all go away if you drop the case." A man, who I assume to be Tyson's lawyer said.

"And you can get the hell away from this table before I drop you." Kim told him.

"What can I do for you Liam?" Carl asked.

"First of all calm your guard dog."

"Who the hell you calling a dog?!" Kim yelled getting out of her seat, I grabbed her arm and pulled her back down.

"If you're going to throw insults at people I suggest you leave from this table." I told him.

"I'm only here to help." Liam smiled.

"Helping to get my foot up your ass." Kim mumbled and I nudged her shoulder, then whispered in her ear.

"Wait until after we're finished with court, then he's all yours."

"Once again I ask, what can I do for you Liam?" Carl asked.

"It's not what you can do for me, but what I can do for you."

"Which is?"

"My client is willing to overlook this discrepancy if you comply with dropping the case and he'll respect your wishes."

"And people in hell want ice water." Kim said as she cocked her head to the side.

"You're very entertaining you know that?" Liam smiled at her.

"I think it's best that you leave, because I'm not dropping the case." I told him.

"Suit yourself, I tried to help." He did a sly smirk and walked away.

"I don't trust his ass." Kim said.

"You won't have to worry about him after we win this case, we will have no more problems with him." Carl said.

"For his and our sake, I hope so." I said.

At the courtroom

"Could this get any worse?" I rubbed my temples.
