Chapterd 19: Why the shitty "Hmp"?

Start from the beginning

"Because I'm a nice person or whatever, and don't touch my radio fuck you." She shrugs nonchalantly. Yeah right, so far I've got the impression that she's a self-centered bitch. Sorry for my french but it's only true. She keeps calling me "fuck you" as if that's my actual name. It isn't funny, I don't think it ever was.

"Hmp," I quietly settle into the seat. She scoffs offended yet again and looks over at me. Her grey eyes lock curiously at the side of my face. She quickly looks between me and the rode.

"Why the shitty hmp?" She chuckles coldly. I don't really wanna say because my mouth always lands me in trouble.

"Nothing, just a hmp," I lie, yet she doesn't really wanna fall for it, but so she just shrugs and reaches for the volume button.

"Hey, I have to stop at Bostco," she yells over the music. I nod okay as she pulls into the parking lot.

I didn't know what was worse, watching the little boy- who seems to appear in every aisle we're in-dig in his nose or watch Deck try to shop.

"Deck, do you know what you are looking for?" I groan as we stroll up the same aisle for the 14th time.

"Marshmallows!" She groans at my complaining, which I have been doing a lot of because she is the worst shopper in history.

"We're in a spice aisle!" I yell annoyed

"Seriously?" She questions confused, I point at the labels.

"So where are the marshmallows?" She ask, her eyes filled with confusion. I instantly slap my forehead.

"Have you ever went grocery shopping?" I ask curiously. She raises an eyebrow and point at herself.

"Does it look like I've been grocery shopping?" Obviously not! I pull her arm and walk toward the aisle. I grab a bag of marshmallows and toss it to her. She catches it with a good reflex and look pass me. Her eyes land on someone behind me and they widen.

She grabs my wrist and pull me into her. Her hands wraps around my waist and I quickly shove her away but she holds my hand.

"Act like you're my girlfriend" What!? I quickly turn her way to continue shoving her hand that is around me protectively and intimately.

"Fuck no!" I groan. She throws me a pleading look and raises her eyebrows looking down the aisle. And standing there is Sean (the asshole I regrettably dated) and another guy.

"Delilah?" The amazingly tall handsome guy calls. I think he has me confused with someone else. Sean stares at me awkwardly, he looks down at the placement of Deck hand and our position.

"Mason!" She calls awkwardly. From the looks of it, they haven't seen each other in a while. He looks at her shockingly, his light green eyes landing on me.

" I haven't seen you in years! How are you?" He questions. He pulls his dirty blonde hair from out his eyes returning it back to its rightful place.

" I'm great and this is uh, Jay, my girlfriend. " Sean quickly looks between us. Mason raises an eyebrow. I look up at Deck from above seeing she is pretty tall and I am wrapped in her arms, tightly.

"Girlfriend?" Sean questions stepping forward.

"Peters! Haven't seen you in a while. If I must speak of terms, the last time was when you got your ass kicked by a girl, my sister to be exact," she teases and smiles bitterly at him. He smiles back bitterly at her and looks coldly at me.

"Jay can I have a word with you?" He questions. I stare at him like he asked the dumbest question in the world.

"It'll only take a second," I stare hesitantly at him, the jealously in his eyes makes me feel good! I nod and walk towards him but Deck doesn't let go of my waist. She holds it tightly. I glance up and she throws me a 'this is a bad idea' look.

" Jay, we have to hurry up and finish shopping,"  she states hesitantly raising her eyebrows not taking her eyes off me.

"Yeah, I have to go, uh nice meeting you Mason," I smile kindly at hums and he looks between Sean and I.

"Nice meeting you Jay, right? Sorry we didn't get the proper greeting maybe next time." His green eyes stare mysterious at me. His smooth peach lips hold a mischievous smile. That dirty blond hair holds its perfect style, with that annoying strand falling back into his green eyes.

After Deck went looking for her cookies and candy. I honestly didn't know what she was doing, but I just followed.

"Who was that?" I question curiously as we casually make our way back to her car. She glances over her shoulder at me and returns her focus back to her vehicle.

"Mason," she states while throwing the bags carelessly into the car. I return the shopping buggy.

"Yeah, I now know that, but how do you know each other?" She doesn't pay attention to me, rather she goes into her pocket and pull out her phone. She looks through some things and groan in annoyances and shove it back into her pocket.

"Uh he was my ex boyfriend," she states this carelessly while starting up the car, not acknowledging the fact that I gasped shockingly. Whoa there!
