Chapter 41 - The New House

*Vida's POV*

*Next day morning*

When I open my eyes, I see Liam sleeping next to me.

What is Liam doing here? He was sleeping peacefully.
I wake up.
" What's wrong? ", asks Niall.

Niall and Ashley were sitting on the couch.

"Why is Liam sleeping beside me?", I ask.

"Last night, after you slept, Ashley and I woke up, Liam was wandering around, so we asked him to sleep next to you", says Niall.

"He was initially hesitating, I don't know why?", says Ashley.

"Yeah! Is everything fine between you and him?", asks Niall.

"Yes. All good", I say.

"Vida, see this", says Harry.

I go towards him.

He shows me his phone.

"What is this?", I ask.

" Nothing it's just that you're all over Instagram today ", says Harry.
" Why?", I ask.

Harry shows me the picture of me and Liam. We were laughing.
It was such a good picture.
"Who posted?", I ask.
" Me!", says Harry.

" #engaged #vidaandliam" I readout.
"What's wrong with you guys? Seriously!", says Louis.

" It's nice! It's getting a good reaction ", says Niall.

"Guys, we are not even engaged", I say.

"Almost, doesn't matter", says Louis.

Liam wakes up. He looks at me.

I look away.

"Morning mate!", says Niall.
" Morning", says Liam seriously.
He goes inside his room.

I go into the guest room to freshen up.

I go out of the guest room.

"What's wrong with Liam? Why is he so serious?", asks Harry coming towards me.
" Yeah! ", says Ric.
"Vida! You should go and talk to him", says Ashley.

All of them a nod.
I go inside Liam's room. He was in the shower.
I wait for him.

After a few minutes, Liam came out.
He had his shirt on with buttons open
and he was wearing jeans.

"Hey Liam", I say smiling at him.

"Hey, what are you doing here?", he asks.

"Everyone was wondering why you were so serious", I say.

"I am just not in a good mood today", says Liam with his back turned towards me.

"I am sorry, about last night", I say.

"Please, don't apologise", says Liam.

After a moment of silence.

"Oh, God! This is difficult", says Liam.

He turns towards me.

"Vida, I don't want to see you, I am not able to handle my emotions when you are around, maybe we should stay away from each other till we figure out what we want", he says.

I was taken aback.

"Is that what you want?", I ask.

Tears start rolling down my eyes.
