Chapter 31 - The Race

*At the car*

*Ric's POV*

"Ritu! Ritu wait! Let me explain what happened!", I say. 

I was requesting her to listen to me. I know she's angry with me. 

" Ritu!", I say, frustratedly.

 "What Ric? What do you want now!", she says angrily.

" Can you wait and listen to me for a few minutes ?", I ask.
"No, you've got only a few seconds, say what you want to say", she says.

" Tell me, why are you angry at me?", I say.
"Well! I'm angry because you didn't tell me that you were involved in all this!", she says.
" How would I tell you when all this was a surprise? It was for you, this surprise! And even you had fun, listen.. ", I say, cupping her cheeks.

" I didn't mean to hurt you! I did it because I wanted you to get surprised. More than you, Vida and Liam suffered. They were kidnapped.", I say.

"No! I didn't have fun except for the part where we had to fight with Neo's gang", she says.
" By the way, Ritu, your 'few seconds' were over long ago", I say.
"What can I do if you are so dominating?", she says. 

I chuckle.

"Aww! Look how adorable they are", says Louis in a girly tone.
" Shut up Louis! ", Ritu says.
" Seriously, that was cute ", says Harry. 

Then I see Niall coming along with Ashley. 

" Do you think something is going on between them?", I whisper in Ritu's ear.
"Do you need to tell that every time you see a guy and girl together?", she whispers in my ear.
" Guys! Ashley is going to stay with Vida from today!", Niall says.
"That's great!", says Louis.

" Wait! Where are Vida and Liam?", I ask.
"They are still in that hall! I'll go and call them", Niall says leaving.

We start putting Ashley's luggage in the car. One of the guards comes and gives me Liam's clothes. 

We were all set to leave. Even Vida's camera bag was already in the car.

*In the marriage hall*

*Liam's POV*

" We need to talk ", I whisper in her ear. 

" There is no one around why are you whispering ", she says. 

" Because I don't want anyone to listen to our conversation. Not even the cameras over there", I say pointing at the CCTV camera. 

She chuckles.

" Vida! Tell me why did you come running across the aisle? You could have walked! ", I say wrapping my arms around her waist.
" Because! I wanted to stop the wedding ", she says. 

" What if I got married to her?", I say. 

"I would've killed you", she says. 

" Why would you kill the person whom you love?", I say.
"Because that person did something stupid!", she says. 

I chuckle.

"Why didn't Nikki stop you when you entered the hall?", I ask.
" Because I locked her along with Kevin in the dressing room ", she says.
" You seriously did that for me?", I ask.
"Yeah! I did it for us", she says.
" So, I need to give you something because you did such a brave thing ", I say. 

She chuckles and says, "Haha, that's nothing in front of what I did just before I was kidnapped"

"Anyways, what do you want to give me?", she asks.

"Well! Close your eyes", I say.
" Ok?", she says closing her eyes.

When she closes her eyes and I go close to her. 

"Are you going to kiss me?", she asks. 

" Maybe", I say.
"You're coming closer to me.", she says. 

I go closer to her lips.

*Vida's POV*

He came closer to my lips. I was sure that he'd kiss me. 

Suddenly, he lifts one of his hands and puts my hair behind my ear. 

Just before I was about to kiss him. 

He starts tickling me. What the hell?

" Liam! Is this the gift you wanted to give me?", I say laughing.

"Hell yeah! You thought I'd kiss you? No!", he says. 

" No! Stop tickling! Please stop!", I say as I chuckled.
"No, I won't till you beg me", he says.

Liam and I fell to the ground. He was on top of me. Even though, I was on the ground he didn't stop tickling me.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Niall walks in.

" Guys! What are you two up to?", he says.

 Liam finally stops tickling me. Both of us get up. 

"Nothing! He was just tickling me and we fell on the ground", I say.
" Behave yourself, you are standing on the aisle of the fake marriage hall", says Niall.
"Shut up", I say.

" Let's go! We're going back!", says Niall.
"Wait! Vida, how about the running competition? Do you remember?", Liam asks me.
" Yes, I do! Let's do it now, so whoever reaches first wins, the one who loses will get a punishment." I say.
"Ready! 3.... 2..1.. Go!", Liam shouts and we start running.

" Guys wait! I was the one who came to call you! Don't you even care about me?", says Niall as he starts running behind us.

Liam was leading. I don't want punishment. I have to do something. 

At a point in the race, we were equal.
I see Nikki standing a little far away from the car. So, when we were about to reach, I push Liam towards Nikki. He goes and falls on her.

I reach the car. Yay! I won. 

"Good job Vida!", says Harry giving me a high five.
I look at Liam who was awkwardly in Nikki's arms.
" Liam! I didn't know that you loved me so much! We can still get married.", says Nikki sarcastically.
"No, thank you!", says Liam running away from her.

 All of us start laughing.
" That's not fair how could you do that?", he says coming towards me.
Niall comes running. 

"Everything is fair in love and war", I say. 

"It's ok Liam! It was just a race", says Ritu
" Yeah! It was that race which made me run even though, I was not a part of it", says Niall.
"So, Liam! Get ready for the punishment", I say.
" What punishment? " asks Louis.

"Well! They had a deal that the one who lost would get a punishment given by the winner", says Niall.

Kevin, Neo and Nikki come near our car. " Guys, thank you so much for coming to HATW, I hope you guys had a thrilling time", says Kevin.
"Yes, I did", says Harry.

"So, Liam and Vida, take your phones", says Neo giving me and Liam our phones back.
