"An idiot? What's that?" I ask.

"You are an idiot for trying to make friends with me," she replies.

"An idiot is trying to make friends with someone?" I ask.

"No!" she yells.

"Then what is an idiot?"

"Someone who doesn't know anything. And you wouldn't know what, since you're an idiot!" she laughs.

"I know things!"

"Like what? Huh?"

"Well... I know you."

"Wow. You're telling me that you're an idiot."

"Why am I an idiot?"

"For trying to make friends with me."

"We're still friends... right? Everything is normal, right?"

"No, we are not friends! Did you just hear what I just said?!"

"That I know nothing for trying to make friends with you?"

"Exactly. That's the first reason. You couldn't even tell that I didn't want to be friends. The second reason is what you know. You don't even know what a game is! You don't even know why some of the transporters don't go to testing. I bet you're not even new."

"I know what a game is and I know why some of the transporters don't go to testing."

"And who told you those things?"

"...You."

"Exactly. Without me, you would know nothing."

"Why are you doing this? I thought we were friends."

"I only pretended to be your friend. I never wanted to be your friend in the first place. You were taken advantage of," she says.

"I was taken advantage of?"

"You don't even know what that is?" she says laughing.

"Why are you laughing?"

"It's so funny!" she says unable to control her laughing.

"Why?"

"You."

"What about me?"

"You."

"What about me?"

"Everything about you is why I am laughing."

"Oh."

"And you don't even seem to be offended now. At first you were wondering what was going on, but now your acting as if everything is normal.

"Why are you doing all of this? You still want to be my friend, right?" I ask worried.

"You've won the idiot award. I told you that I never wanted to be friends in the first place, remember?"

"Oh."

"That's all you have to say to me? Oh? I never realized how little you actually know."

I hear an announcement that we all have to go to our rooms.

I get up to go to my room but the girl stops me.

"You going to your room? I bet you've been made to be someone who just follows orders. Don't ever confront me again. I never wanted to be your friend," she says to me.

I run to my room. I open the door and slam it after I am in.

I lay down on my bed.

Why? I thought she was my friend...
