Mikey was out playing video games and you were in the kitchen, getting a little lunch prepared, a Beatles song was stuck in your head. Singing softly you stirred the stuff on the stove.
"Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away, now it looks as though they're here to stay, suddenly, I'm not half the man I used to be, there's a shadow hanging over me oh yesterday came suddenly why she had to go I don't know she wouldn't say, I said something wrong now I long for yesterday." You sing to yourself when suddenly you hear a sniffle behind you.
"Mikey?" You ask as you see him drag a hand under his eye. "Are you crying?" You ask and he pulls you into a hug.
"You'd never leave mw like that would you?" He says and you shake your head.
"Never Mikey!" You say and he smiles, tears still dripping.
"I can't count the number of times I thought I said something wrong and thought you were gonna leave. I can't tell you how many yesterdays I've wished for." He says and you continue hugging him.
"You don't have to worry Mikey, I'm here..." You keep your arms around him, as the large turtle shakes with sobs, seeking comfort in your warmth.
