JESS
As I predicted, when the sun casted its golden light, for the first time in my daylight, it didn’t felt warm.
A frightening cold breeze touched my skin that sent shivers down my spine when I saw what was in front of the door.
The lump of red roses tied up beautifully with a black ribbon was in front of the main door. The beautiful man was just holding this bouquet and looking at me full of love in his eyes last night.
I grabbed the bouquet and looked at it with adoration. Unconsciously, I went over at the table and snatched the empty vase and proceeded to the kitchen sink.
When the flowers were now placed at the vase and resting on my table I felt a vibration from my pocket.
From Grey:
Good morning, love. I hope you had a good rest.
I felt the urged to reply but I forced myself not to because of the fear that I might say something awful to him
Another message flashed on the screen.
From Grey:
I cooked your favorite. It was sealed properly in a container so please take it. Beside the main door, outside.
That made my feet rose up. I then open the door and there… a paper bag.
I picked it up. I looked around and it saddened my heart when I haven't seen him.
To Grey:
You don’t have to do this. I am all good.
From Grey:
Please take your breakfast na.
Right, I have an important appointment today.
I wore my typical attire. I searched for the number eight table that she reserved for us.
Umupo ako at nagpalinga-linga.
She smiled at me casually. Her smile was angelic but a bit hard that exemplified her domineering aura.
“Let’s have something on the table first,” she then raised her left hand while sitting in front of me.
Two waiters came over us as if they were trained to do that when the lady raised her hand. The first waiter was on her side and the other was on my side.
“Yes, Madame Alexis,” the handsome waiter asked.
“Good evening sir, let me know what’s your order,” he beamed at me.
