Deserved Punishment

Left alone in his securized room, director Enry Arsin was nervously biting his thumb. He thought the issue would be promptly resolved when Melia, the strongest Guadian, would sneak-attack and capture the three intruders. Only, he didn't expect that one of them, this rat that had the audacity to call himself 'Gentleman', would dre to act so boldly in ennemy territory.

With all the chaos he created, Melia's movements were rendered far less effective because she had to pay attention to the guests as to not hurt them while engaging a fight.

In addition, it gave the three intruders all the opportunities they needed to hide in the crowd and, considering they could somehow fool the authentification systems of the Party Hall, there was absolutly nothing that stopped them from simply escaping among the guests by using their panic. It was not likely that Melia would be able to catch them in time, especially considering that a single one of them somehow managed to fight her for a while and then escape completly on his own.

"Gentleman, Tyler Rochemord this fucking rat..." director Arsin spat with gritted teeth.

It was as if this bastard somehow knew about his plan. Else he wouldn't have been able to react so swiftly and counter him like this. But then who was it that gave it away? The only person that was truly aware of the trap was Melia...

Yes, thinking about this, it was in character for her to let him down like this. Melia had always been a pretentious and arrogant person, hating to have anyone above her to give her orders. Surely, during the long years she spent on Glactia-62, she had the time to accumulate a lot of hate toward him, and director Arsin always considered the possibility of her betrayal.

Yet, that didn't make any sense, precisely because of her personality: Melia craved to be above the others, to dominate them, to continually remind everyone of her superiority. Catching the fugitives was perhaps the only occasion she'd ever have to promote from a Guardian to a special agent, she wouldn't throw it away out of mere resentment.

Then who was it? Now that director Arsin thought about it, it might as well be one of the other cyborgs: since they were guarding the terminal, they naturally knew that Melia wasn't doing so. From there, it was theorically possible from them to deduce the trap of the Party Hall.

But the picture wasn't sticking together: beside Melia, the two other Guardians were unambitious idiots. They were chosen to become cyborgs only for their compatibility with the Fefnir tech, their good fighting abilities and their docility, they didn't have the mental abilities to deduce the director's plan from scratches like this and, even if they somehow managed to do so, they wouldn't be daring enough to actually perform such a betrayal and risk facing the consequences.

Which only left one suspect: the special agent, Eliot Mercher.

But why would he do that? Wasn't one of the main qualities a special agent had to have loyalty? Why in the world one of them would do such a thing?

However, his train of thought was interrupted when he heard the voice of someone talking to him in his back:

"Hello dear friend, I notice you were saying something about me" the person said. "Mind saying it in my face instead?"

Director Arsin turned so fast he almost hurt his hips, and found himself in front of the three Grantz siblings. Only, he now knew that those weren't the actual ones. No, they actually were...

"You're those Cifer bastards!" he shouted. "How did you enter-"

He was cut in the middle of his sentence as Tyler's fist connected with his face with a loud noise, throwing him off his chair and directly on the hard floor. Director Arson felt his head spinning as a sharp pain came from his nose, most likely broken by the sudden and violent punch.
