Chapter 60- Back in the game

Nandini's POV:

This Manik has spoiled my day, at least I hope my night would be better. I moved forward as everything is blurred ahead of me. I couldn't exactly see what is in front of me. I felt giddy as I tried to walk. I stood there for a moment to analyze what was happening. Maybe this is due to the weakness after blood donation. I should have stayed in the hospital itself. I'm feeling to lose control over my body. Just when I felt I would collapse on the ground, I felt a strong pair of arms encircling me. Thank God, I'm saved.

I could vaguely see Manik's face and I would have pushed him away if I had that strength. I couldn't even raise my voice or shout at him as I have no energy left. He carried me to my flat. I closed my eyes and don't even know when I lost the track of time. It was at 10 am in the morning when I opened my eyes and looked at my phone. I expected Manik to be seen sleeping in the room but thankfully he is not there. Did he go away after dropping me? I slowly got up and headed towards the restroom when I found Scooter making noise. I peeped to see why the light is on in the drawing room. Manik is playing with Scooter and he got up as soon as I saw him. "How are you feeling now?" he asked. Why would he expect I will answer him.

"Manik, please get out of my place" I did not like his presence here. It reminds me of the old times but we knew that nothing is same as before. "Sorry, I didn't want to disturb you, please ache se rest karna and I have made breakfast for you, kha lena please" he said. I can't believe how can he behave like nothing happened between us. "I have learnt cooking, so you can eat without worrying" he said. I thought Manik and cooking doesn't go well but humesha ki tarah Manik hai unpredictable. ''Manik, don't try to act like nothing happened'' I said in my defense. ''Nandini, jo bhi hua hona nahi chahiye tha. I know I'm at fault, tab wo meri majburi thi. Mujhe aisa nahi karni chahiye tha'' he said. ''I don't have any explanation to justify myself. I have hurt you and I know tum iske liye mujhe kabhi maaf kar nahi paogi. Isliye main apna chehra bhi nahi dikhana chahtha tha'' he said. Why is it all about him? He was wrong, he realized his mistake and he thought I would never forgive him so he didn't want to show his face ever. Then where am I? Mere feelings, gussa and hurt tho kisi ko dikhayi nahi diya. 

''You are so right Mr. Manik Malhotra, you better leave from here'' he was ready to leave already. He bid bye to Scooter and kissed him. Manik did not even utter a word and left from there. It is good that he left but will Manik ever love me back if I had said that I loved him that day. No, iske liye humesha Siya aati hai pehle. I would always be the second choice for him. I should let him go off from my mind. Life se tho wo bahut pehle hi nikal chuka hai. Tabhi mujhe Cabir ka call aaya to meet him as decided earlier. ''Cabir, are you sure aaj ho jayega?'' I asked him. ''Yes Nandini, Manik ne hi mujhe call karke bataya. He said he would come today in the afternoon'' Cabir said. ''Ok then, I'll be there'' I said.

Manik's POV:

Itne dino baad main Nandini ke ghar main. Sab kuch pehle jaisa hi lag raha tha. Bas ek hi kami thi, Nandini ke aankhon mein mere liye hatred hai. Dhruv and Alya had me covered with Siya. I went to hospital for Siya's discharge but Ethan is a matter of concern. I asked the doctor about Ethan when I reached hospital. Rohan was already present there. "Jiju ka condition ab bhi kuch theek nahi lag raha but we can meet him now, wo hosh mein aaya hai" he said. Siya, Dhruv and Alya are already there with Ethan.

"This is all so unfortunate" Dhruv said. "Manik, where were you all night?" Siya asked. "Mujhe kuch kaam tha, so baahar gaya" I said. "Thank God Nandini ne time par blood transfusion karwaya" Rohan said. "Yes, I would like to thank her too" Ethan said. "How are you feeling now?" I asked him. "Legs are still numb, I can't feel any sensation. But I'm fine" he replied. "Aaj mujhe Registrar office jaana hai" I said. "Ok, discharge hone ke baad chale jaana" Siya said. Doctor said Ethan ko recovery ke liye time lagega and his discharge is not confirmed.

After dropping Siya at home. I went to Registrar office and Cabir came with the party. "Manik ji, mujhe aapse milkar bahut khushi ho raha hai" the buyer said. "Ji, itne short notice mein paise arrange karne ke liye aapko bhi thank you" I said shaking hands with him. "Jo bhi cash hai, aapko apne bank mein transfer kar diya hai mere manager ne" he said. "Thank you, aayiye registration process complete karte hai" I said and took him inside. "Don't worry andar sab mere wale hai, kaam jaldi ho jayega". Cabir and me tagged along him and everything went so smooth.

"Market mein bahut bada realtor hai and he is so excited to buy your property" Cabir whispered to me. I have checked all the papers before signing and Cabir handed me one more document. "Ye kis ki document hai?" I asked. "These are your farm house papers Manik, he did not buy this one, there is another buyer" Cabir said. Why did he not buy the farm house? I wondered why Cabir is looking worried. "Sab theek tho hai?" I asked him. "Ha main theek hu, I'm just worried about you" he said. "Kyu, mujhe kya hoga?" I asked. Before Cabir could answer we saw Nandini's car. Why is she here by the way?

She got down and walked towards us with a smile. "Shall we go inside?" she asked Cabir ignoring me. "What's happening here?" I think I know what is happening.

"Thank you Mr. Manik Malhotra, finally your farm house is going to be mine" Nandini said with a broad smile.
