39. Uhh

I picked up the phone and frowned.

"It's locked."

"Of course it is." Luna sighed. "We should head inside now."

We looked around before walking in.

Despite the building looking broken down, it seemed kinda fancy.

Luna pointed at a door and we headed over.

We pressed our ears to the door but heard nothing.

Luna cracked open the door and we poked our heads in.

Nothing... nothing...

I looked up at the far wall and saw a woman sitting on a thrown attached to the wall about 12 feet up. She was wearing a white beaded dress and a tall crown.

German sat a little higher wearing sweat pants and a sweat shirt.

Even higher than him sat King in his Reaper outfit and ski mask.

They were all staring at us.

Uhh...

"Chip... we found The reaper and two others!" Luna whispered quietly.

"And two others!? And two OTHERS!? Do you-" The woman stopped, put a hand on her forehead and sighed. "I'm not gonna sound entitled like that."

"You are entitled." German cackled.

"I will kill you!"

"Yeah, level up from number three to number two first!" German laughed.

"Back out slowly..." I whispered and the woman snapped her head to look at us.

"You two aren't going anywhere!" She shouted and jumped down from her throne.

Shit!

We turned and ran.

I looked behind me and saw Luna hadn't moved.

God damn it!

I ran back and grabbed her.

"Let's go!"

"What kind of fighters run from the fight!?" The lady shouted.

I looked behind but didn't see her.

"AH!"

Both Luna and I fell.

What the!?

"She's invisible!" Luna ran to grab me but flew back.

She coughed and held her throat.

"Are you okay!?" I ran towards her but gasped as I was kicked in the stomach, sending me flying back.

"Ohh, you're a big one, huh?"

"Really?" I coughed. "You're really fat shaming me right now?"

I looked around but didn't see her, I could hear her laughter though.

I guess she is invisible.

I looked to the side and saw German and King walking over.

Shit.

A thought popped into my head.

Luna gasped and began to pull at something on her neck.

I have to act fast!

I coughed out smoke and when I had enough, I threw it at Luna.

I could see the outline of the lady's body.

Yes! I did it!

"Is that soot?" She tried wiping it off her now slightly more visible body.

I took out my black knives and ran at her. She turned and lifted Luna by her neck.

She's turning blue!

I jumped up and launched myself at her.

She sighed and threw Luna at me.

Fuck!

We both crashed into each other and flew back.

"Ow..." I groaned and sat up while Luna coughed.

"Take it easy on them. They're still training." King laughed.

"That much easier to kill." She said.

"Lilac, come on." German laughed.

"Lilac?" I asked.

"Yeah, so what if that's my name?" She snapped.

"The big three."

We all turned to see Bagger and Bird.

"Yay! We're saved!" Luna cheered and then coughed.

Are we? They're in the same team. Are we really okay?

My stomach churned.

Lilac became visible again and had her arms crossed.

"This dress cost me a fortune. That little bitch isn't leaving till she gets all the soot out of it." Lilac snapped.

I glanced at Lilac and then back at Ezra.

He looked unbothered.

"You two. Come here." Ezra ordered.

Lilac jumped at us but I put up a wall of smoke and we ran behind the boys.

"Ugh! That's not fair! She has to clean the dress."

Ezra pulled out a gun and King ran forward as Ezra pulled the trigger.

He leaped through the air and touched her with the point of his finger before they disappeared.

"Woah..." Luna whispered and rubbed her bruised neck.

Wait!

I spun around and saw the shine of a blade coming down at us.
