Hey, Vera Zamora. Black hair, black eyes, tan skin, 5'2.

20

You? Probably a nobody.

I don't care.

I walked through the short well kept grass and glanced at the sky.

It was a light blue with some clouds.

It was a perfect day for this.

I took my eyes off the sky and back to where I was walking.

Two men walked in my direction.

One was looking at his friend and the other looked at me.

The one looking away had brown hair and green eyes, white skin. He was about 5'7.

Probably says he's 6'2.

The other man had black brown hair, black eyes tan skin and I'd say was about 5'9.

Black hair nodded at me and I nodded back, just to be polite.

We walked past each other and I went back to thinking.

I wonder who I'll be pared up with.

They better not suck.

Who am I kidding, they will suck.

Horribly.

I took out my phone and read my homework assignment.

What do you think today's chapter meant? Think deeply about this and not just what's on the surface. I want to see good answers! Good luck students!

What does she want me to write? That Jackson was an asshole and wasn't actually brave at all?

I sighed and my stomach flipped as I thought of what I have to do tomorrow.

It's a big day.

It's fine, it's fine.

I'm going to pass, even if my partner will be trash.

I looked over my shoulder.

The men were getting smaller and smaller as they got further away.

I let out a shaky breath.

I was scared.

I was really scared.

I'm not scared.

Who am I kidding.

I'm not scared.

I can't be scared.

If I'm scared, that would mess with my performance.

I took a deep breath and kept walking.
