Y/N Pov

"S/N!" you yell, eyes wide and staring, forgetting the proximity between you two. You're both sitting on opposite ends of the couch, facing each other.

"Y/N, it's not a big deal." she rolled her eyes, "You know how I've been wanting to study overseas anyway, for years at that. This was the only option I had for wanting more with my life and I can get a degree there that still applies here. It's not even close to the same price I was looking at for universities here." she shakes her head and looks down, "I don't want you to be mad at me for doing this."

"S/N, I can't be mad at you for doing this. I'm proud of you for this. I mean, I'm not going to lie and say I'm not shocked, that I'm not jealous. But, S/N, I'm not mad at you. You have always had a better head on your shoulders than I ever did." you reach over and grab her hands, "You also seem like you've been looking into this for a while and have found something that not only holds your interest, but also shows you a piece of the world."

She nods at you, "Because you're right on that. I've always wanted to travel. We both have. But financially we never could. I can do this with the money I've saved for travel and boarding. I've looked into this for so long.. it's hard for me to believe that this is real."

"I know you can. We're blood. This is very surreal and shocking, but I'll help you and support you with this in any way you need me to. Don't worry about me or anyone else here, focus on school and live a new life. Find a new side of yourself."

She nods again, this time with a smile. You smiled back at her, slowly coming to the realization that she doesn't know much of anything about South Korea.

"S/N.. what do you know about SK?"

She smiles, "Not a fucking thing."

You both start laughing. Not sure if it's from the situation or if it's because she's going to a country she has limited knowledge about.

"Okay, we're gonna do some research that way you come in prepared." you get up from the couch and walk to the bedroom where your laptop is. Grabbing it, you come back to the living room and sit back on the couch, this time closer to your sister.

She scoots closer to you and lays her head on your shoulder, "Thank you, sissy. This means a lot to me."

"Don't thank me, fucker. You'd do the same for me if the roles were reversed." You replied, shaking your head. You can practically feel her rolling her eyes.

"Oh, by the way, when do you have to leave by?" You ask.

"I have to be there in a week to be able to get a apartment and move in."

You sat there, unmoving for a second. "A week." You repeat.

She nods into your shoulder, "Yeah. It's a super short time frame."

You have no idea, kid. You think to yourself.

"Okay, I need you to tell me what all you've prepared for. Like plane ticket, moving your stuff, the apartment in question, location.. all of it."

"The plane ticket has been paid for already. I can only take one suitcase and a carry-on bag. The apartment is in Seoul, maybe 15 miles from the university. I've already been looking at bikes as well. As far as the rest of my stuff, the apartment is furnished already with the basic essentials. I'd just need decorations to personalize it and then my clothes."

I nod, "Okay, so you can get decorations there. Not counting the more sentimental items. Those we can pack in the suitcase, all wrapped up and protected. Or we can pack them and I can mail it to you. Clothing is a bit iffy because of their weather. So we'll start there and go from there about the community, what's going on currently, and getting you some kind of a translator until you learn the language."

She nods, "Sounds like a plan."
