• Chapter 43 •

The world knows Ranboo's been here before. So, they'll assume he's visiting again. And what if Ranboo hears about the him and Bill or Tubbo rumors? It'll be so confusing for him.

Which is why....I have to try and get with him as soon as possible. Sorry doctors, but this is what the world wants.

We made it to the car finally. As we were walking to the car, I'd ofcourse gone towards shotgun. But Ranboo grabbed my arm, "You're in the back with me soulmate."

I blushed, "Certainly."

I was pulled into the back seat where Ranboo leaned on me, closing his eyes, "Eight minutes you said, hope you're comfy. "

"Right." I chuckled then furrowed my brows, "Wait...When did I say that?- How do you know it's eight minutes away? Do you even know where we're going?"

He opened his eyes and seemed to be thinking hard, "Uh-.....I- I dunno. I guess it felt natural? Or...I- I was guessing?" 

He was definetly remembering bits and pieces. His memory wasn't erased for good- it was only what seemed to be a sort of fracture.

"Ran, do y-"

"There's that pet name all the time too. When did you start calling me it?" He asked curious pinching his nose bridge.

Tubbo got in the drivers seat hearing his question, and so he kept in his laughter.

"Petname? I thought we established it was a nickname...Unless ofcourse- you see it as otherwise. Which in that case, I suppose I need a cute petname too." I smirked.

He flushed and got shy, "Uh, well....I dunno. It just sorta reminded me of a petname? I dunno, it feels like it is? Sorry, I dunno why I'm acting strange. Uh- I need to sleep. My head is starting to hurt."

I pulled him to lean back on me. I kissed his head, "Get some rest handsome."

I could tell that flattered him as he snuggled, then quickly fell asleep.

Tubbo pulled out of the parking lot as I finished putting my seatbelt on. Then I reached over Ranboo and grabbed his seat belt. It was difficult as before, but I managed to buckle his seat belt.

"He asleep?" Tubbo asked.

I nodded, "Oh yeah, just as before."

"Right." Tubbo started, "So uh, have you tried anything? I mean- anything to check if it's platonic or romantic."

"If you mean kiss," I shook my head, "Then no, I haven't."

"Woah- you wanna kiss me?" Ranboo looked up at me.

I flushed red, "Wh- What?! Weren't you asleep? How-"

"I thought it'd be funny. I mean, you did it to me last night." He laughed.

I rolled my eyes, "Dork."

"Your dork." He smirked.

He said it just as before....It wasn't the same circumstance or time- but it felt the same. Gosh it was strange and yet- I loved it.

"That's right." I kissed his nose, "Now-"

"No. Answer the question- You want to kiss me?"

I awkwardly laughed, "N- No, er- not no, it's just that- well....Okay, not no, but not yes like in the moment. Just- ugh, sleep idiot."

He smirked and made a kissy face, "I wanna kiss you too~"

I rolled my eyes, "Jeez, I ha-" I sighed, "I love you."

He flushed red this time, "Oh."

"I mean like- I've always loved you. Like how- er friends  love each other, but also like- like also cause- soulmates and I care about y-"

"Yeah." He stoped me, "I think I know what you mean..."

I smiled, "Right. Now sleep, yeah?"

He nodded and closed his eyes. This time, really falling asleep on me.

Tubbo continued, "Seems this will happen faster than before. Or so I hope."

"Yeah,...and i think we'll be fine." I nodded and rubbed Ranboo's hand, "We're gonna be just fine."

Tubbo smiled at me in the rear view mirror, "Right...yeah, I know."

I really think we will be. I'm just gonna do my best to have him remember. I'm gonna do everything step by step. I hope the others will too. I think....I'm gonna give him back his necklace too.
