Arty's POV

"So I vibe checked each room with Pete's help. Find your bags and that's yours. Any exchange is up to you guys, but I'm not swapping." James said as we all finally came in for the night after a small BBQ. Deciding the night sky that snuck up on us, alongside smiley yawns was a sign we all needed to go to bed- even if it was earlier than we usually would.

"I always get the same room." Remus mumbled in my ear, sounded a little amused and gesturing me to follow him.

I heard a chorus of good nights as we began venturing off in different directions. I noticed James and Lily goofily ran up the spiralled staircase, the only people to not wander down the downstairs hallway to their room. They must have bagged the master bedroom.

Which I didn't mind when Remus opened up the door to the small bedroom, with wooden cabin walls, painted white and a small double bed pressed against a wall next to a lovely wide window. Patchwork sheets and fluffed up pillows. Our bags resting on a woven rope rug.

Remus walked into the room as if it was his, and technically it was whenever he was here, and tapped on a cream ottoman at the end of the bed that blended into the space.

"This is here cause the beds are usually too short because they're old. Hence why this is usually my room. Alice's Mum took it out of their bedroom for mine when I stayed and it just kind of...didn't move back." He laughed and then gestured to his height in comparison to the bed.

"They sound nice, her parents." I replied.

"Oh yeah they're great, quite eccentric. Helps that they're stinking rich and also run a charity. Means we get access to a place like this and they aren't arseholes because they own it." He explained, whilst pulling back the duvet and throw and remaking the under sheet so that it was smooth.

"Do you wish Alice and Frank were here?" I asked.

"For sure, but we know they're having the time of their lives and they write often. I wish I could piss off travelling for a year, so I get it." He admitted his casual jealousy.

I began to get unchanged for bed, an unexpected chill in the air. Making me keep my T-shirt on. Remus did too, as he jumped into the bed and patted the space next to him.

I quickly climbed in and dramatically shivered as our cold feet touched under the covers.

"For such a warm day it's so cold!" I quietly squealed.

"It gets like that here." Remus said, already cosying up to me and shutting his eyes.

I turned off the lamp next to the bed, the orange glow leaving the room.

"Goodnight, Remus." I sighed contently, also closing my eyes with a smile on my face.

"Goodnight, beautiful."

"Wake the fuck up!" The voices of Sirius and Peter shouted through the hallway. Both bashing their fists against Marlene and our doors.

"Go upstairs and wake up the love birds, Pete." Sirius ordered outside of our door. Footsteps could be heard running off.
"Cover your genitals!" Sirius shouted as he burst through our room and leaving the door open before he did exactly the same to Marlene.

"Fuck off!!!" She screamed.

"Titties." Sirius laughed to himself as he casually wandered down the hallway into the living area, as if he didn't just cause chaos.

Marlene's door slammed shut and I climbed out of bed to gently close ours.

"I suppose it's time to get up." I sleepily laughed, which was followed by a yawn.
