Safety First

(Joe's POV)

Grounded until further notice. This was Mom and Dad's favorite arsenal when it came to punishment because it's an indefinite type of torture. At least when they say "You're grounded for a week" you KNOW how many days you have left in your sentence, but the "Until further notice" could mean three days, could mean three weeks...you never know. I HATE being grounded.

(Joe) well, that sucks

(Nick) sorry I shouldn't have said anything

(Joe) nah, like Dad said I'm sure that interview is viral by now, copies of it all over youtube, it wouldn't have taken him long to figure out who said what. *stands up and heads out of the room*

(Nick) where ya goin? Thought we could work on a new song...

(Joe) going to go talk to B

(Nick)oh ok

*Joe heads up the stairs, stopping in his room before heading to B's*

*B is Sitting on her bed writing in her journal when there is a knock at the door*

(Bailey) *irritated tone* What?

*Door opens to reveal Joe wearing a helmet and waving a white tee*

(Bailey) *Rolls her eyes and tries not to smile* what do you want

(Joe) Can I talk to you for a minute?

(Bailey) I guess

*Joe walks in and crashes in one of B's beanbag chairs*

(Bailey) nice helmet

(Joe) *smirks and knocks on his helmet* safety first, you are kind of a live wire today

(Bailey) I'm not going to apologize to you so if that's what you are here for....

(Joe) *cuts B off* It's not...I actually am here to apologize to you. I was the one that said something about us being angry with you on live chat this morning.

(Bailey) Why? To get me back?

(Joe) no, it wasn't like that, it was an accident really, just like a four second comment in between questions.

(Bailey)*sighs* it is hard enough being the *air quotes* "Bonus Jonas" without all your fans thinking that I'm some sort of bad seed. How did it even come up in conversation?

(Joe) *shrug* Nick was kinda quiet all morning and some of the fans were asking what was wrong and I said something like..oh he's bumming cause we are all a little angry with B right now

(Bailey) great

(Joe) I'm sorry

(Bailey) s'ok, I'm pretty used to the hostility thing from Nicks ubers...

(Bailey's POV)

Some of the ubers found me fascinating...the idea of a girl version of Nick was somehow intriguing. Then there were the others who seemed almost intimidated by the whole twin relationship and often seemed jealous that I spent so much time with Nick

(Joe) if it helps I think Kevin and Nick are going to work some damage control on it

(Bailey) and you?

(Joe) me? Oh I'm serving whatever sentence you get since I caused the whole thing so no computer or phone for me. *smirks* we are cell mates

(Bailey)*rolls eyes* like being confined with a monkey

*Joe jumps up and makes monkey noises, picking pretend bugs from B's hair and eating them*

(Bailey)*rolling eyes* Seriously? You look ridiculous, how any self respecting girl can find your dorkiness attractive is beyond me.

(Joe) *sits down on the bed in front of B* ok serious time again, I still don't like Jake, none of us do

(Bailey) *sighs* I'm not just going to break up with Jake because you guys don't like him...you just don't like him because you don't like me dating period.

(Joe) No, I don't like him because I think hes a jerk, I don't think he treats you right and you act different when you are with him...in a bad way

(Bailey) well I like him and it's my decision and you shouldn't be mad at me for it

(Joe) I'm not mad anymore...just don't expect me, or Kev and Nick for that matter, to be all supportive of this relationship 'cause we're not.

(Bailey) that's fine...

*bedroom door opens*

(Mom) Dinner... Joseph why are you wearing a helmet?

(Joe) Safety first mom, you can never be too careful

(Mom) uh-huh sure...come on downstairs both of you time to eat.
