Naveed felt her eyes getting blurry. The lump in her throat became more heavier as she turned her head away. In the last almost 10 years of her life, she spent it with Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. Mikasa who she believed was her sister. The belief came from the words Naveed declared all those years ago. They had been through hell together, all 4 of them. From thinking that Eren died in the Battle of Trost, to fighting the Female Titan, to Eren's life being on the line most of the time, to Naveed being excluded by locals in public for looking and speaking differently. Everything, they had seen together.
The most recent wounds had to be Armin almost dying at the Retake of Wall Maria, and figuring out that in 15 years, it will only be Mikasa and Naveed.
It was wounds that they all shared. And they promised from child age to stick together forever.
Despite each other's differences.
So why the hell was Eren making Naveed feel left out?
Never once in their years of friendship has Naveed ever felt like she didn't belong with them. In fact, Eren mostly advocated for her when people were being obviously racist. Or unfair to the group of 4 because of Naveed.
