A few days later, the Cullen family were sat in the living room, watching the game. Well, they weren't really watching, they just fixated their eyes on the television so they could do something.

Jasper's arm was draped across Aimee's shoulders, she was tucked into him.

It was peaceful until Bella got up, her face pained, Edward grabbed the bowl, put Bella just breathed heavily.

"We need to find a way to get some food into her system." Esme suggested, her dark eyes settled on Bella.

Edward's eyes settled on Jacob, "I think you might be right. Jacob just had an idea."

Jacob smiled, "It wasn't an idea, it was a snide comment."

"What were you thinking?" Carlisle asked.

"That's it's looking for something to sink its teeth into." Jacob smiled again.

But Aimee felt the burn in her throat, even the mention of blood made her ache. The rest of the vampires equally felt like this.

Jasper looked at Jacob, glaring at him for even mentioning blood, and causing the pain in his mate.

"He's thirsty." Bella prompted.

"I know the feeling." Aimee and Emmett said at the same time, both then smirked at each other.

"If it's craving, it won't want animal blood." Edward said.

"I have some O-negative laid aside for Bella." Carlisle answered, walking off to go get the blood.

Aimee and Jasper both watched, their minds going crazy at the thought of blood. But Aimee tried to clamp down her blood lust and stood up, taking Jasper's hands.

"Let's go for a walk." She whispered, and he nodded, letting her lead him, as if he wasn't in control.

Alice and Robbie soon followed, both of them going to their room.

But Aimee took Jasper outside, not going too far from the house though. They settled on a log, staring into the trees.

"How are the rest of them coping with this?" Aimee whispered, the burn in her throat aching even more.

"They struggle, they're just better at dealing with it." Jasper answered, pulling her into his lap. They hadn't been intimate in over a week, and Jasper was slowly going mad.

He missed the feel of her body, the sounds she made.

"Jaz, I don't know how much longer I can cope with this." She admitted, Jasper frowned and turned her around in his lap.

"It'll only be for a few more days now, then-"

A snap came from the woods, both vampires head turned to listen.

Jasper quickly stood up and placed his mate behind him, taking up a defensive stance. His eyes were trained in the trees. Waiting.

A low growl was heard, and Jasper stepped closer to Aimee, a snarl erupting from his mouth.

Aimee took Jasper's hand and walked backwards, closer to the house. He never turned his back, desperate to make sure his mate was safe.

"Jaz, let's go." She whispered, and Jasper nodded, taking her into his arms and speeding back into the house. The scent of blood wasn't there.

The pair were met by Carlisle, who looked concerned.

"Carlisle, the wolves are getting closer. I think they're going to attack soon," Jasper declared, "We're too weak for a fight."
