Kim Jingshan was slightly reluctant to accept that. He waved his large hand. In a low and muffled voice, he said, "How could we let you do that? Is the Shao Family filled with such unsympathetic people? Little Park, neither you nor Jiao Shuzhen should panic regarding this matter. You should get the tests done again and we'll see what happens after that!"

Chaeyoung nodded. "I'll go along and do whatever you want me to do, but there are some things that I have to tell you first."

"Three generations of the Kim Family only had one son each, but your family's bloodline is not going to end with Jisoo because of me! I love him very much... I love him so much that... I don't even know who I am anymore..."

Chaeyoung choked back her sobs for a while. "I came from lowly origins, so being loved by him was clearly a blessing from God. He saved me, and I saved him too. Returning to her apartment and seeing everything before her, Chaeyoung felt as though she was dreaming. Her memories replayed in her mind, including her first meeting with Jisoo up to the time when they were dating. They only shared sweet moments as there were no regrets.

Now that this had happened, she felt that God was punishing her. She was never fated to enjoy a life like this.

Within two short years, it seemed like she had almost used up all the happiness in her life.

Her only friend in Capital City was Tian Qi, but he had followed Jisoo to Luo Hai. She did not have anyone to share her worries with anymore. She sat on the window seat and basked in the afternoon sun for the whole day. Tissue papers piled up on the ground below her feet.

They had arranged to do the tests in another reputable hospital in Capital City the next day.

Chaeyoung followed Jiao Shuzhen to the hospital early in the morning. They did not have to queue and were merely required to go through a simple process. Unlike the previous time, the main purpose of this examination was to compare the test results.

When the doctor read the diagnosis that was given by the previous hospital, a pessimistic look appeared on his face.

This time, they would receive the results very soon. They would not even need to wait for half a month.

Chaeyoung had only waited for three days, but she felt as though those days had dragged on like a year.

She prayed to God but warned herself not to harbor wishful thoughts at the same time.

Jisoo was physically in Luo Hai, but his heart yearned for the young woman who stayed behind in Capital City. As he would video call her every day, he gradually noticed that there was something wrong.

She initially assumed that the girl who was going to be married into the Kim Family of Capital City would be an extremely calculative and conspiring woman. She never expected that the young woman before her would be innocent and pure.
