All day in school I was bored . School work never crossed my mind . Buy Hayes sure did . How sweet he was last night . The chance I took by Making out with him while are friends was in Waffle House .
The day was uneventful. Me and Daisy and Elaine ate by our self . Blakely is still out . I am thankful that we didn't sit with all that other crew . I would just be uncomfortable.
Just as I am walking out the school door , I get a text from Hayes
( Meet me at the track )
I go to the track , I see Hayes in his running shorts which is always a sight .
" Hey little hottie love your jacket it just so yellow ." He says
" This is a blue marine " I say rudely
" What does it have to do with the sea ? He asks
" Blue marine is a brand " I answer him
" Sorry I didn't mean to offend you and your Fashion taste " he says
I make a mean face at him , because he was making fun of me .
" I know fashion is your passion " he says and laughs
" whatever what did you want Palmer ?" I ask still rude
I don't know what he wants but he ought to get to it get on my good side .
" Well Winters I wanted to see you ." He Claims
I just look at him I have no ideal what he wants.
He is just staring . Then he looks at his feet he seems nervous . So I feel like I have to speak up .
" Well I don't think you had me meet you here for you to look at me or for you to not talk." I say loudly
" I wanted you here to give you this " he says and reaches in his bag and hands me a box .
I open it . I can't believe my eyes . It is so beautiful .
I look at him then back at it.
It is s locket . It is sliver and it is really expensive. But it did look like the one he won me at the skating. Rink .
" Don't say I never gave you something . " he says
" It is beautiful it looks like the one From the skating rink ." I say
And tear up .
" Open it " he demands
So I do and my eyes can't believe what they are seeing I blink like 4 times before I speak .
" A pic of you and me ." I exclaim
" You like it ?" He asks and rubs his the back
Of his neck. I think he might be nervous
" I love it But I have to ask why Hayes .
It is beautiful and has our picture . It was very thoughtful , I just don't understand why ." I say
". Because the last one was a cheap Game toy ." He jokes
I don't laugh , I just look and I assume I have a serious look on my face because he says
" I just thought you should remember you know like the time we had together, I know that sounds cheesy but I just thought it would be nice ." He finally says
" Thank you but we will still be friends . I mean we can still hang out. You know not like make out . But do things . I would love to still be friends ." I tell him and mean it .
" No we may see each other at partys and in school but that will be about it . You will be Finns now ." He explains
My eyes tear up again . I don't want to not be friends with him .
" No it won't change that much I will not let it . Yes I will be with Finn , but we can still hang with or with out him . And one day maybe you can bring a girl and we can double date And not with just a one time thing a nice girl who you can be with like a real boyfriend and girlfriend ". I say
" I will pick you up at 7 I have to go home ." He says
I watch him walk away . And I wonder if he is right .
I think I can make time for us to be friends . I know being Finn's girlfriend will take up time , but I know I can do it . !!!!
